NOTICE: I made this review mainly to let people know that this pharmacy is due to CLOSE DOWN on Friday 28th July 2023. I recieved a text message from the UEA medical centre warning of this. Full review below: Convenient location next-door to the UEA Medical Centre. Unfortunately due to staff shortages and a small store overall there are frequent queues and regular unannounced closures of the store lasting a few hours to a couple days. Over the past few months, you must order your prescription approximately a week in advance or else they would not have it. This is no fault of the workers at all, just an unfortunate inconvenience. Despite this, I still haven't had a "bad" experience with this pharmacy and have been able to work around these limitations.

Close at random times without notice...tried to pick up my prescription that I desperately needed today only to find it is closed. This is nothing unusual and when they are open, expect long waits if they can even find your prescription. Staff are mostly unfriendly and uninterested. I shall be changing my nominated pharmacy as soon as possible. I expect better from Boots

frequently not open, expect wait times of 10-45 minutes. phone will never be answered, no text to let you know you can collect your prescription, you will be told you can collect your prescription then be told you can't. personally, in the time i have been here, they have - called me fat (i'm literally not, but no matter my body shape it's just not okay to say) - given me incorrect doses then made me pay for more, even though it should have been in the one prescription - made me pay for something i didn't need to pay for - didn't give me a claim form so i couldn't even get the money back - frequently been told they don't have my medication even though doctors assured me they would - had medication that i didn't really want to be shared across the pharmacy said loudly please don't bother unless you enjoy taking three weeks to get one prescription, being body shamed and being made to pay way more than you need to for prescriptions x

I don't use them for prescriptions so I've no experience of that. I've just changed the address to Bluebell Road because it used to say Earlham Road which was wrong. If you look on their own website, the address, location AND opening hours are wrong. I'm disappointed they don't open on Saturday and very disappointed with the amount of bad reviews.

Absolutely useless- till never works, online prescriptions never come through, waits are very long and theyβre just always closed for no reason. Truly the worst, most run down pharmacy Iβve been to. People desperately need prescriptions on campus and donβt have cars to go elsewhere quickly so this service is disgusting. Staff donβt care and are very in compassionate when people are upset about not being able to access prescriptions. Iβve had to forgo my medication many times.

Must it take you approximately 5 mins to serve one person?! I stood in the freezing cold for 30 mins and there were roughly 7 people ahead of me. Highly inefficient!

Really really awful. They never answer the phone, They take absolutely ages to fill a prescription (I gave them 3 weeks and it still wasn't ready) You are in trouble if you need your prescription urgently. They also didn't have enough of the tablets so they wrote me an IOU. When I did manage to get someone to answer the phone he told me "please call back - we are on a break" - are you joking ??? just dreadful.

Absolutely hopeless. Long long waits, always some problem or closed for some reason. Used to be OK years ago but I ve finally given up and now go to the Boots pharmacy in the Eaton Waitrose.
