Stayed over night at The George and Dragon in our 9m tag axle motorhome. The landlords could not be more welcoming, they even suggested to park in there other carpark if we wanted less traffic noise. The food was home cooked, it was the best slow cooked steak and stilton pie I have ever had, beautiful. Good value for the money, felt safe in car park. The pub had a lovely feel, warm and friendly, a really good nights sleep. We stayed here on way back from Preston on way back to Bristol. Thank you, recomended.

This pub has been re vamped and it looks lovely and fresh. The welcome was great. We went for Sunday Dinner we were lucky to get the last 2 meals. We are local so thought we would try it. Get in quick though as it sells out fast. The man behind the counter was lovely and friendly and made us feel welcome. Fantastic prices. Will befo be back 100% recommend. Looking forward to seeing steaks on the menu at some point .

Turned up late one Friday looking for somewhere to eat. Phoned on the way and were told they stop serving at 8pm. We arrived at about 7.45pm and promptly ordered but were told what we chose was it off stock. Made an alternative choice and paid for our food. The food was OK, but nothing exiting. The service was pleasant but basic, the place has no atmosphere and is more for your local residents to have a drink rather than drawing in people from surrounding areas. I'm reluctant to give a bad review as it was our choice to come here so late in the evening and the food was OK. But it just didn't make me feel like I wanted to come back again. Didn't take any photos

Bit of a toss up whether a 4 star or a 3 but they made everything ok in the end by offering a free drink. Thanks Emily. Drinks typically Marston good. Hardy’s chardonnay and pint of Pedigree. Food. Ordered classic burger and ultimate spicy burger. The USB was tasty, lots of pulled pork, bacon and cheese with 2 beef burgers. Unfortunately the jalapeños were missing, so no ‘spice’. The classic burger should have been bun, 2 beef burgers, lettuce. 1st attempt came with cheese and bacon. Sent back. 2nd attempt came with only one beef burger plus tomato and bacon. Fries were crispy. One vote for one against. All in all the food (even though some wasn’t exactly what we ordered,) was tasty and the service from Emily exceptional. Without Emily’s great customer service and smile we would only have rated a 3 star

By far the worst Christmas meal my whole family and myself have ever been served. At £52 per head I expected all the trimmings but little did I know how incompetent the management and staff are. The table was booked for 2:30pm but the starters didn’t arrive for an hour which were all cold, when our main arrived I was astonished. It was not only freezing cold, with 2 sparse pieces of meat, there was hardly any veg, a flat Yorkshire pudding that was 3cm in diameter and hard as a rock, 1 cremated tiny pig in blanket served with beef gravy despite beef not being on the menu. The were no sauces or salt and pepper not even cranberry and as I said before this is at £52 per head. Every table around us had the same experience and the few staff that was there agreed with the customers. The manager or chef never came to see us or anyone else to apologise, offer a complimentary drink or to explain why things were so bad. I eventually found the manager where with no apology I was told we’d get a full refund which is was not happy with as he’d ruined my entire family’s Christmas Day. Not one of us ate the meal, we all left hungry and angry. Nobody should eat here, unless you want to risk food poisoning as all the fish dishes weren’t cooked correctly and allowed to cool. I’ve never been so embarrassed to take my family to such a place and would not recommend to a dog.

Really great food, fabulous service, great atmosphere, reasonable prices. We booked here for my sons 18th birthday for 20 people. Unfortunately for the staff their dumb waiter broke, which resulted in a little delay, but they gave us a free round of drinks which was very nice of them. When the food arrived it was great, and all guests loved it. Would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning.

Cycled here along the canal and had Sunday lunch. Food was ok and the service friendly. For us, it wasn't clear about the availability of Sunday roasts, so in error orders off the menu available. Later noticed a small board on the bar advertising them which could have been clearer.
