A proper real, real ale pub. Dont waste your time looking for frozen lager or tv screams. Talk or play games at an old table, perhaps just chat and make friends. Whatever you do, you will be wowed by the beers and ciders available.

Took a mate from the west coast of the states in as he loves beer. He loved it, thought it was a great place, quirky, interesting and fascinating. Loved all the stuff on the walks, wanted take done back to the states with him. Good choice of beers and ciders. Staff helpful and friendly, nice to see it let's in dogs as well. He wants visit again next year when over again.

Unbelievable little micro pub. Stocked to the brim with great beer, cider and rum. The quirky decor makes your experience even more unique. This place has got everything spot on and I will definitely be returning soon. The Blue Monkey Cinder Toffee Stout is something to behold!

A great bar offering an unrivalled selection of cask ales, on handpull and direct from the barrel, plus real ciders and much more, The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, with the inimitable Grum at the helm.

Rare night actually drinking with the boys I'm normally chauffeur to. Lovely atmosphere here. Great beer too. They might need a new Chauffeur soon.

A really warm welcome whatever the weather! Bridge Street is somewhere to meet up with friends - and make new ones. 'Grum' and his team are very welcoming, and really knowledgeable about their ever changing selection of guest ales. And for non beer drinkers like me it has the best and biggest range of visiting ciders, both traditional and more modern. Everyone is made to feel that it's their local, even on their first visit. Oh, and it's dog friendly too, has a beer garden and no loud music.

It's a pub full of legends and stories of dragons, pixies and pump clips. You'll find no finer place to drink than this, with it's ever changing selection of beers and ciders. Get your pirate on and drink rum whilst sampling pickled eggs in a bag of crisps.
