   The two course Christmas dinner was excellent. Beautifully cooked, with the freshest vegetables. The fantastic dessert was almost too much, but I managed it. Amazing value.

   Driving from Glasgow to South Wales we (4) needed somewhere with great food and great real ale for a relaxed stop in mid afternoon. Just less than 3 miles from junction 17 M6 we phoned ahead to make sure the opening hours hadn't changed and what ales were available. A charming girl confirmed 4 ale selections and that the kitchen was open all day until 8pm. We arrived at 14.15 and were seated near the bar. The food was second to none. Piping hot and fresh, local and delicious. Exceptional value. We were told the pub had been in the same family for over 30 years and Jake, the owners' son, was obviously clearly passionate about his role in the business and his ale husbandry. One of the most perfect stops we have ever made and would return in a heartbeat.

   Incredible proper home made food from a family run pub. Portions huge and the ginger sponge & custard was incredible. Worth a visit, proper good grub. Gorgeous vintage cars frequent and regular meetings. Huge outdoor area. Well worth a stop or extra mile to visit this place.

   We went today for Mothers day, my request was a nice country pub so hubby chose here, we had never been before but we will certainly be back the food was beautiful, steak cooked to perfection of what we asked(medium) and the place its self is lovely with all the old features a 300 year old place should have, so cosy and welcoming . All the staff were lovely and pleasant also. Thanks everyone we will see you soon x

   Visited The Bulls Head a few times now. Service is always friendly. The real ales are good and the food is excellent especially the steak and ale pie! Would highly recommend.

   Had the pleasure of dining here as a group on a January Sunday. The lovely staff were very accommodating, fantastic menu choice including for children and 'oldy worldy' decor just as charming as pub like this should be. The portions were really generous, all mains came at the same time and every meal delicious especially the giant fish and chips! Clean plates all round. We'll be back next time we meet family in the area - can't wait! Ps thanks also for squeezing us all in last minute.

   Real ale and excellent food. My wife and I eat here nearly every week and have done so for the last year. The food and the beer are always excellent. A traditional english inn and welcoming landlord and staff.
