Needed somewhere to watch the Community Shield so called in at The Top House. Huge screen , good beer & great service.
Really nice after the refurbishment. New owners and staff are very nice. Nice chilled local pub again now in they daytime when I have visited. A lot different to how it used to be
A Hidden Gem – First Visit Won’t Be the Last! Visited The Top House for the first time and was really impressed. The bar lady was brilliant—so friendly, funny, and full of character. She made everyone feel welcome and added a real charm to the place. The regulars were just as lovely, easy to chat with and made the atmosphere feel like a proper local. The beer was excellent and noticeably better priced than other pubs around. All in all, a great little spot—I’ll definitely be back!
Loved it, great night, great atmosphere landlord's doing really well in tys modern climate from what I could see and the beets affordable too they haven't put stupid increases on there prices like most other places seem to have done lately

£22 for steak asked for med rare. Both came well done and chewy. Not good. Fish was good though.
Nice friendly pub. Very cheap drink prices for pints and spirits. For quite a few TV screens with the footie. Obvs can't move any seats currently due to covid rules. Lots of people at the bar (owners did tell them to go sit down), which made lining up to get a drink and socially distance an interesting experience, as hard to stay clear of some of the patrons. Well worth a visit.
The death of the traditional pub is upon us. Town pubs are dying off for a reason, this is a great example of why. Prefer coffee shops if im honest. If you like getting blind drunk and stand outside smoking or on your phone, then Top House is for you. If you are a bit more classy, then find a family pub
