   I can't envisage a Michelin starred restaurant serving better Fish and Chips. Guinness or bitter batter which was light and crunchy. The cod itself was fresh and flavoursome rather than mushy and generic and is too often the case in restaurants. Thin homemade chips not covered in oil. Even enjoyed the salad. This place (and the cod) is a real find!

   A little quiet, just how I like it Regular place for food and a pint. Food is fantastic especially the lunchtime offer menu. Staff always friendly and accommodating. Go there at least a fortnight. A pint with the burger or lasagne my usual dishes with real chips!! Thoroughly recommend you pop in.

   Stopped by on a whim for a post-work aperitif. Lovely roaring fire with pictures of the pub dotted all around, Butty Bach on tap, and even a dog menu. Would return for dinner!

   Tasty pub food for a Saturday night dinner. We both ordered the gammon and were pleased with the quality and the portions. We left happy and with full bellies. Think the landlord served us... He was friendly, polite and attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely be back!

   Always a warm welcome. Always at least one real ale on offer. Prices reasonable, good menu, quality good, specials board. Would advise booking. Currently (29/04/22) not open Monday nor Tuesday.
