   We love Halfords as our go to place for online motoring offers. However this is not replicated at this particular MOT centre. The staff were indifferent, dismissive and bordering on rude during our visit. Our MOT was a pass and so we got what we went for but the common courtesies were less than non existent.

   Disappointingly ‘brakes for life’ turned out to be ‘brakes on my old car only’. Who would think to have a brake check on their old car before selling it, so as to be able to transfer the ‘for life’ policy. A neat little bit of ‘small print’ designed to catch the customer out. No longer trusted.

   Where to start??? Absolutely an awful experience. I have a 24 plate Cupra Formentor and the engine management light had came on along with an oil warning. Its a Lex Autolease Company car vehicle which I rely on to fulfill my job role. Unfortunately on Wednesday 26th Nov Cupra were struggling to fit me in and Lex suggested Halfords. I was delighted when I called Halfords Greyfriars Autocentre and they gave me the good news they had a slot at 8am the next morning. And so I rocked up with warning lights etc. Parked at the front of the store and spoke to Ash the guy on reception. He took my keys confirmed my contact number and said they would be in touch. I was somewhat flummoxed as had planned to sit in a waiting area and see if it was an easy fix or what the problem was. I hadnt made provision to bring someone with me. So in essence I wasn't booked in at 8am. I hung around for an hour to see if they even moved my car. Nope then called my cousin to please take me home as I was absolutely frozen in the waiting area with no water or any other kind of facility. Returned home. Heard nothing. Husband wasn't surprised and encouraged me to call at 2pm when I had heard nothing. Spoke to Ash and a technician had looked at my car but couldnt figure it out. There was another technician due later who was apparently "more savvy" and I asked time scale. He said it was fair to say my car wouldn't be repaired that day. I subsequently spoke to my head office and Lex again and made the decision that noone was going to touch my car at Halfords Grey Friars Stafford and I called and asked that my car was locked up and noone to touch it please. Whilst on the call I even got the cancellation text to say they were sorry I had cancelled, so clearly delighted as outside of their technical remit. I had spoken to Cupra at Stoke who were confident I could drive with the warning lights I told them and they would fit me in on an emergency appt to keep me safe and book me in for full diagnostics. So I uplifted my car the next day. I was there at 0745 with workers coming to and fro, my car outside, knew who I was and I was always polite but all I needed was my key having said my plan the previous day. Didn't even have that courtesy. I work for a major FMCG company and we have many company car vehicles. I have spoken to Lex who are disappointed how I was treated. I have also highlighted to our HO. I am confident I would not have received a phonecall that day. But in hindsight I am glad I pushed as I wouldn't want one of your technicians touching my car that isn't qualified? Ive seen from a review from another chap who also said you dont have hybrid technicians. Be warned people. Good luck with your future business, but one thing you can count on..... you won't be seeing me or my car... ever..

   They helped out massively by sorting my MOT despite it being a last minute booking. Unfortunately the car failed but they sorted me out in no time at all and had me driving out the garage the same day. Reckon my car was only with them for 3 hours so awesome Service on their part!

   Easy to book, and great value for full service and MOT.I was kept informed of progress both by phone and on the App. The only downside is that parking is very tight behind this centre with limited on road parking too, but I would definitely use again.

   Really amazing service! First time using this garage and it really was amazing. Extremely helpful and kind staff. Raj got me into the garage last minute when no other garage in stafford would help and couldn't get me in for few weeks minimum, even though it was an emergency and I couldn't get home. The work on my car was carried out expeditiously and ben did a really good job. I am 100% using this garage as my main garage for any issues with my car! Would 100% recommend.

   At the end of the day, i went to pay the big bill and unfortunately my card got locked. Raj was there and he payed off my bill of £500. I can’t thank him enough.he should be promoted and trust me, without him that place wouldn’t be better. Such a gentleman character and absolutely impressive service from the team. Keep it up! Btw I returned his bill.
