I popped in for a drill bit for wall tiles and the gentleman gave me advice on what size drill I need, on the wall plugs too. Very helpful indeed. The drill bit worked a treat. I managed to get my utensil rail up with no problem at all. Thank you Raunds Hardware.
Really good friendly staff. Just moved to Raunds and was looking for a stud wall detector to hang my TV. These had one in stock. Not often you find an un-chained hardware store these days. Helpful and knowledgable. Definitely will go again!!!
Like shops used to be.... This fantastic "little" shop is one of the few remaining (in this area anyway) traditional hardware shops. From the outside, it looks small. Certainly not a B&Q Superstore! But what you will find in the tightly packed interior is a good selection of the essential items you are likely to need. These days, we have too much choice. Walk into the big superstores and there are 50 different doorbells on offer, row upon row of electrical sockets and don't get me started on trying to choose a tub of plaster! Too much choice = stress! Wander into this shop and they will have one or two of each thing you might need. You will find it straight away, or be given immediate and friendly help by the shop assistant/manager. Prices seem sensible and not any dearer that the big retailers. The benefit is they will probably have what you want, or something close without all the faff. You will be able to park right outside with no car park queue or stress. You will be in and out in 5 minutes. Many times I have run out of a certain screw, widget, drill bit, handle, etc and whizzed down to Raunds and back with what I need before I would have even "breached" Rushden Lakes ridiculous roundabout queues. Don't get me wrong, they won't always have what you need, but give them a try and keep local shops going I say!
