   Friendly, reliable and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble for these guys. I've had three different vehicles serviced, repaired and MOTd over the years and the service has always been professional and extremely competitive price-wise. They are transparent about what work needs doing and always explain things in lay terms which is exactly what I need, being as non-technical as I am!

   When my mechanic/friend retired I was completely flawed – having someone totally trustworthy to attend to any of my car issues is so important as I am not able at 80 to do things myself. So when someone suggested trying Arthur Forbes’ Garage on Brown Edge Road, Buxton, at first I was slightly diffident; since getting any worthwhile working relationship in place again takes time. Now having had both Matt & Ian doing various services and MOTs etc for me I feel I can have complete faith in them. Not only are they good at their jobs, they are always so accommodating about getting me booked in & sometimes picked up when necessary – even Boss man Arthur ran me back home one time. The ethos of the business is not to fleece customers by constantly increasing prices, so it’s refreshing to know that they aren’t unreasonably greedy like many other garages. Well done, Arthur et al, & a big thank you for keeping me on the road safely.
