   Kevin Knight @ the Bletchley depot served me. He went above and beyond his call of duty to help me out with some paving slabs I required. After I changed the parameters several times, he worked out exactly what I needed. As I arrived early his female work colleague even made me a cup of tea.    My partner and I had to hire a stump grinder last week. The phone call to enquire was very good with all the information that we required. As we had not hired beforehand I had to go with two pieces of ID which was not a problem. Delivery was scheduled for the next day. They did explain that they need to take a deposit of £300. But I would have to ring the office myself the next day to claim it back once the machine was off hired and everything was ok with it. Hd then said that if I didn't ring they would keep the deposit. It was up to me to sort this . Delivery was on time and the guy was very helpful and explained how to use it etc. Even let me video so we would have information for later on when we were to use the grinder. My partner and I started to work on the stumps in our garden but found out quite quickly that the brake did not work which caused a few issues as it's a powerful machine and a brake is essential for it to work well. It was very hard work and took quite a while to do our work. We were glad when we had finished. The delivery guy came next day to collect it. I rang later on in the morning after the machine has been delivered back to their office and advised the guy that the brake on the machine was faulty and it had been almost impossible to manoverve over the stumps. He was not really interested and said he would have a look at it on Monday. I said the problem we had with machine and again he said that there was nothing he could do. Overall a very disappointing service and only geared for the company to make money. To supply a machine faulty is not very good service. We wouldn't ever hire anything from them again or even go to their shop to buy anything. Shame as the shop is local to us.

   First Class Customer service Lee and Charlotte are the most helpful and genuine people I've come across in this business sector in a very long time. My wood decking order was arranged in a timely manor, the delivery drive was helpful. When it became apparent that an "over order" had occurred (on my part not Buildbase) Lee was very understanding and explained the correct procedure to obtain a refund. Charlotte then went above and beyond to arrange a next day collection and refund. Thank you both - other stores should take a leaf out of your books - you've nailed customer service and all with a cheerful disposition. Well done!
