   What a horrible experience. We will not ever be going back to this garage. I am absolutely appalled by the way my daughter was spoken to by the owner. He basically called her a liar, swore at her and put the phone down on her while her car was at the garage. Work that was not needed was carried out, the problem wasn't looked into properly and has not been solved and a bill for just short of £300 was issued. My daughter took her car to the garage with a problem in the hope that they would be able to diagnose and fix it. Not to be gaslit and verbally abused, nor to be charged for an engine flush, oil and filter change that had been done by another garage not long before. I hasten to add that she had told him this. No way to do business.

   Where to begin……. Car was booked in for a service had the car all day and no work carried out then I was quoted a price and then when I collected the car 3 days later there was a price increase of over £350 pounds I was told it was because more work was needed but no authority was given to carry out the work the owner wasn’t interested in speaking to me I was told that was the price!! I then found my car parked on a car park not belonging to the garage. There were oily marks all inside the car no floor mats or seat covers fitted. All in all a very unpleasant experience

   So many positives on this Garage .. they go above and beyond! Most of my family now go here. They offer much more than any other garage I’ve been too- they even picked up my brother’s car and dropped it back to his house .. My car was in for a new clutch so they had it for a couple of days and gave me a Free courtesy car to use. Mike and his team are amazing and so are the office girls keeping me updated on the progress of my car.

   My wife took her car here for a full service and MOT. It failed MOT and she was quoted over £1,000 to fix it and fully service it. Suspicious of this, we paid for the MOT and collected the car. I took it somewhere else for a second opinion. They quoted me for the repair work, a full service and an MOT, which came out almost £450 cheaper in total. Unsure if they were trying to rip off my wife, because she's female, or if they are just generally over-priced. Either way, I'll be going elsewhere in future.

   Originally told daughter job would cost her 500 quid went down to 200 then charged her over 800 quid without so much as a phone call. Staff are polite but total Rrip off. Found engine had no oil on the car's return. Outrageous.

   First time using Hartford MOT today amd will definitely be returning. Fantastic, friendly service and great value too. They fitted my car in for a service and MOT at very short notice when another local garage let me down. Open at 730am so I was able to drop my car off nice and early, got a call at 3pm to say it was all ready and no extra work required. Very honest, friendly service and my car is driving great. What more can you ask for! Highly recommend.
