   Situated in Aldwincle village, is this walk back in time village shop. Very friendly owner, with a good array of produce. I brought some tasty fresh potatoes, onions and purple broccoli fresh from local farmers. Great shop took me back to memories of being a child when so many of our villages had local shops like these. Worth a visit, more to see in Aldwincle.

   H G Watts & Sons, or Watties, is a friendly family run shop situated in the picturesque village of Aldwincle, Northamptonshire. Upon entering the shop, it's like stepping back in time to the local shops I remember visiting as a kid in the 70's. Offering an abundance of goods, including locally sourced fruit and veg, this little time capsule is definitely worth a visit!

   Very friendly and chatty staff with the vibe being from the Ark era - or even before that. A very convenient convenience store, though, with most items I might need. Some rather humorous (see photo). Fresh bread would be a good option to add, though.
