One of the highlights of Brookland Park is our monthly gatherings with The Wellderness. These meet-ups are more than just events – they are opportunities to come together as a community, spend meaningful time outdoors, and share simple but important moments with one another. We garden, plant, chat, laugh, and learn side by side, all while enjoying the calming presence of nature around us. Each month feels different, yet familiar – there’s always a sense of warmth, belonging, and shared purpose. Whether you’re passionate about the environment, looking to meet new people, or simply wanting to spend more time outside, these gatherings are a wonderful way to do it. Brookland Park and The Wellderness have created a little oasis where people and nature thrive together.    Really lovely lake, can walk around the park. Playground seems nice for kids. There's a cafe but haven't been in yet. It has an outdoor seating area looking over the pond. Plenty of benches.

   We miss the train and the adventure room but we do look forward to the new cafe and to continue watching the wildlife through the seasons. We love the landscape, the trees, the wildlife, the play area, the boardwalk, and the parking here at Brooklands. The new play area has looked almost finished for months now which is a great shame everytime we venture back and discover it still closed. Ever hopeful! This is still one of our favourite places to visit

   Visited the park for the first time in several months. We liked the smooth new tarmac paths and the updated facilities - the children's play areas are great (seemingly not open yet). Hopefully it won't be too much longer before there is a cafe on the site, although the Costa at the nearby BP garage is very handy. There are two car parks open on the A259 Brighton Road close to the garage should you need to drive there (the other car park is currently closed). There were numerous birds on and around the lake and we've never seen so many cormorants in one place. Well worth a visit.

   Brooklands is just getting better and better. It is a shame the train went. The playground has gone but a better one is in process of being built. Brooklands has now doubled in size and there are loads of new paths.
