I just wanted to say if you do take a bird in on a Monday at 11am when they open just be aware they might not be open which is what happened to me today. I know I should’ve rung first but I wanted to give the bird the best chance. The Bird Hospital did give a referral vets practice of St James’s in Sketty. The vets and nurses were excellent and I’m truly thankful for helping me after over a 2 hour drive to get there. I walked with my bird in a box the final mile when the road looked like it would be too much for my car. I did try with my local vets who referred me to the RSPCA who referred me back to the vets so the Bird Hospital was my only hope. I will try to change things in the Priory Group vets in Cardigan as it’s not right they don’t see wild birds.

Access really needs to be with a 4x4, long road in and it's treacherous. Fantastic service that they offer to the animals ♥️

A mammy hedgehog and her baby was living in my trees on a busy road so called around and only this pet hospital would take them. The only downfall is where they are based, had to drive there with them in my boot which took over half an hour and even though they warned me about a road I followed my sat nav and ended up on a road which was barely driveable due to the pot holes. Was so worried about my car as its not a 4x4 but it was a good deed and at lease the hedgehogs are safe

What a great charity, it is a bit out of the way, but as soon as I walked through the door you could feel the love they had for the animals. I took a pigeon that could not fly and they were greatful I made the effort, please support these guys they are the real deal. Pip is definitely in the best place.

Gower Bird Hospital do amazing work in caring for wildlife, but they rely on public support in the form of donations. It doesn't matter whether it is a common garden Pigeon, or a rare wildlife creature, they provide amazine care. If you find what you think is an injured bird or other form of wildlife, it can be taken to St. James Vets, 68 Walter Road, Uplands, where GBH will collect it from.

Really helpful and friendly staff. They were so genuinely kind and gentle with the injured bird we brought in, and took the time to give advice on bird transportation if I came across any injured birds in the future. They are now on the top of my charity donation list.
