   Attended a family funeral in Bridgend and stayed here 2nd October,the rooms were clean with a super comfy nice clean bed, and the breakfast was cooked to order from a small menu with plenty of choice and was delicious and our host Howell was really welcoming and couldnt do enough for us . Also i was very happy to see the Welsh flag being flown in the yard/car park .

   I couldn't get into Cardiff this weekend (some sort of rugby game going on apparently). So, I managed to find this place a bit further down the road. I was staying overnight for work, and just needed a somewhere to rest my tired head for the evening. Howell, the owner, was very welcoming and showed me to my single room. For my purposes, it was great. Bed, TV, shower, tea & coffee, even wifi (which is excellent). Next morning, I was up, showered and ready to sign out, when I discovered Howell was up and ready to make me breakfast. And what a lovely breakfast it was too! He's been in hospitality since he was 16, and we had a lovely chat over a fry-up and freshly made coffee. This is a good old-fashioned (in the nice way) B&B, ran by a wonderfully welcoming host.

   The fixtures and fittings are dated but the whole place has loads of character and helps to add to the friendly atmosphere. It’s also SPOTLESS. Howell as a host is absolutely brilliant. The rooms had everything we needed and the breakfast was excellent! If we’re next down in Bridgend we’ll definitely be staying again. Thanks Howell.

   A warm, welcoming guest house and the owner Hal was so kind and helpful. The room was a lovely size, clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. The breakfast was in a beautiful dining room and it was so light and airy. The only thing I wasn't 100% on was the mattress on the bed as a spring mattress it wasn't fully comfortable to sleep on but I did get a decent sleep so all was good. I would definitely stay again

   Bed very uncomfortable. Also as it's on a main road the traffic noise was horrendous. But Howell was a lovely man and very welcoming.

   Howell was an excellent host, so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was brilliant cooked fresh to order. Everywhere was spotlessly clean with fresh towels every day. The decor is a little dated but what's decor when everything else was so good! Highly recommended
