   What a depressing shopping experience I've had at the big new Scope charity shop on London Road, Brighton. Each time I browse there, the atmosphere is so unhappy and full of sadness, almost like everyone is depressed. I've interacted with staff about products and I just get a rude 'I haven't got time for you attitude' and an abrupt answer. I've noticed it's not just myself, but other customers get treated the same. I also, always come out of there without purchasing anything, as the items on offer are just not appealing enough. I shall not be shopping there again and will avoid the Scope Brighton shop like the plague.

   I recently went into the new Scope shop and had an awful experience. I went to return with a receipt, a hidden torn and soiled garment and explained to the paid staff member, a stocky, dark brunette curly haired young lady with a lisp, who refused to refund and aggressively threw it back at me and then went into a tirade. I was astonished, shocked and as i am quite elderly, it left me frightened and tearful. So I left the shop shaking with fear, I am never going back there ever again.

   I'm a 3rd year graduate student and me and my friends we like visiting all the charity shops on London Road. We used to go to the smaller Scope shop before it closed, that shop had an amazing atmosphere and the guy running it was a legend with all the students at Uni! He knew everyone's name's and knew what stuff to put out on shop floor and we had a good banter and a laugh there everytime. We've been into the new bigger Scope shop a few times and its dull as ditchwater, not very inviting as staff are miserable as hell and really snooty towards students! So we don't go there anymore.

   I am very grateful this shop has a bench to sit down, I struggle to stand up for long periods of time and I think it is particularly nice to see a charity for disabled people considering small details like this in their shop :) The shop itself has nice calm atmosphere aswell and good items.
