Absolutely lovely staff. Attentive, helpful, and always kind. Especially John and Carol.

Post office no longer accepts Evri drop-offs or sells Evri labels

Useful store with friendly helpful counter staff. There is an excellent choice of magazines and other product you would normally associate with a newspaper shop. Having the Post Office on site is a benefit too. I would rate this shop higher but for the dreadful newspaper delivery service. Papers not delivered, papers delivered when cancelled, newspaper bill not up to date on the till. Worst of all is either fro img into town and parking or walking about a mile appx to collect an undelivered newspaper and to be told it’s out on a late round and in one case when that wasn’t true - going back again to collect the newspaper. It’s now got to the stage where the counter staff and I are almost laughing about it every time I go in to pay - always on time and partially in arrears and partially in advance. Going to have to change it to arrears only to simplify things.

No paper deliveries on two occasions, yet again, this week. Can never get a response when trying to phone as nobody EVER answers the phone.... And I must have tried to phone on at least 12 occasions! The charges for days when there was no delivery are never taken off until I get my mobility scooter out of the garage and go round to the shop myself. This is one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had.

Love the staff in the store. But problems with newspaper deliveries I.e. no newspaper delivery. Impossible to contact store by phone, always goes unanswered. Then when paying the bill, the undelivered paper and charge is never deducted.

Most of the staff here are friendly and helpful...but there is (unfortunately) always one! A certain member of staff always asks me for ID when purchasing tobacco, albeit I clearly look well over 30, which I am. I can't exactly lose 10 years-plus each time I go in, I would love to be younger! She always makes a big deal about it, huffing, puffing and sighing in front of other customers. I am fully aware that she recognises me and she does not need to scrutinise my driving licence in the way that she does. I do not believe that 'the customer is always right' but I do believe that people should be treated fairly and equally; I have witnessed her asking others for their ID and she does not behave in the same way with them. It's hard to know which side of the rainbow one is on with people like that; she always looks poised to ask for proof of age even when I am buying birthday cards or the Hunts Post!

Dreadful customer service, no newspaper deliveries, no help when your vulnerable and advised not to go out. Response to no delivery was I can't drive, you will not get a delivery today, second time in a week. Dreadful attitude.
