Honestly Johnny is the best barber I’ve been to, hands down so glad I’ve found him. If anyone in Buxton area or even further needs a haircut then I would 100% go to him. Thank me later :)
Excellent service. Took my bother who has a disability for a hair cut and general grooming. Johnny was brilliant and put my brother at total ease with his lovely friendly manner, professionalism and people skills. The hair cut is excellent and Johnny took great pride and time to get it just right. You can see the passion he has as a barber and his skills are very evident. Would highly recommend to anyone . We really appreciated the supportive approach with my brother’s disability without patronising him at all which is quite rare! Great guy, great place!!

While visiting family in Buxton from Scotland, I was recommended to see Mr. Johnny Sutcliffe at The Buxton Barber—and I’m so glad I did. This is, hands down, the best haircut and style I’ve ever had. Johnny’s attention to detail is on another level. I’ve always struggled with my receding hairline, and past styles just seemed to make it worse. Johnny immediately understood the issue and knew exactly how to work with it—not against it. The result? A sharp, confident look that completely changed the way I feel about my hair. The blend, shape, and finish were flawless. He took the time to get everything just right, and the style suits me perfectly. You can tell he’s passionate about his craft and genuinely cares about making each client look and feel their best. Johnny gives a great haircut every time. He's helped me to improve my hairstyle, going from shorter to longer styles. He has understood what style I'm going for and applied the skills and knowledge to make it happen. Takes his time to do a top quality job and a comfortable and relaxing setting and experience each time. Highly recommend.
Quite easily the best barber I’ve ever had the pleasure of cutting my hair. I’ve lived all over the world and James’s knowledge and technical ability genuinely is 2nd to none. Do not waste your time/money going anywhere else in buxton, go to James if you want to experience what a luxury hair cut feels like, and I GUARANTEE you will not be disappointed. I’d give 12 stars if I could.
I booked my partner in with James after he came highly recommend and he was absolutely thrilled with the service and the quality of the cut. Apparently, a really decent barber that knows how to cut hair properly, is hard to come by and James certainly knows stuff! He will now be a regular customer.
