I had an absolute blast learning from Steve and his team! Despite my initial jitters, they made me feel like part of the gang. Steve's teaching skills are top-notch – and his jokes aren't bad either! I’ve just completed the 4 day piercing course with Steve here at Black and Even. I couldn’t recommend it enough if you are thinking about training in something new! From the moment you walk into the studio the entire Team are just so warm and welcoming and made me feel at ease instantly! The course was so in depth and informative and Steve was supportive every step of the way, the group I was training with were so nice too which made it so enjoyable every nerve just went away instantly and I was sad to have the course come to an end! We pierced live models on our last day and Steve makes sure you are confident and he’s guiding you through each one and gives you the confidence to know you can go away and make a career out of this! Nikki also assisted during the course and was there to guide, advise and she made us feel relaxed & made us laugh she’s so knowledgeable and personable and you can book with her & Steve for piercings which I highly recommend! The only regret is that I didn’t do the course sooner!
From the moment you walk into Black and Even you are greeted with welcoming smiles. They walk you though every process of getting a tattoo or piercing from start to finish and I could not recommend them more if I tried. Special shout out to Steve who explained everything fully when I got my lobe pierced & to Matt who's not only been tattooing me and my partner for years but always helps you every step of the way from the designing to the actual tattooing!
My daughter had her first ear piercing today by Steve @ Black & Even. Absolutely fantastic service. Steve completely put my daughter at ease, he talked her through the process and checked she was happy to go ahead. Throughout the procedure his was caring, kind and informative. The piercings were done professionally using a needle and titanium jewellery. My daughter was soo happy when we left she said “mum he was so nice I could have hugged him”! I cannot recommend Steve at Black & Even enough. We were given great after care and told to call or message any time if we have any problems. My daughter is counting down the weeks to return and get them changed!! Thank you Steve!
I got recommended this place and came in for my first tattoo and the staff were just incredible. They were so kind and welcoming and answered any questions/queries or nerves I had. Alannah Manning drew up and tattooed the image perfectly and was so understanding with everything. Honestly could not recommend this place more, will definitely be returning!
My daughter has just turned 16 and wanted her belly button pierced. Steve was so helpful, explained the process and insisted on a consultation first. Completely put my mind at ease. The studio is exceptionally clean, the staff are so friendly and the service throughout was brilliant. My daughter is delighted. Thank you so much. We will be back!
Absolutely amazing experience at Black & Even always! Every member of the team, Steve, Joey, Alana , Erin and Sian make the whole experience incredible. The custom detailing and the design of all tattoos I have had from here are beyond belief. You have a perception in your head, take it to them, and they produce something that is beyond anything you can imagine! The environment is warm, friendly, inviting and you can be sure to have a great experience! In April 2022 I had my first tattoo, what can I say? Joey really listened when we discussed ideas, then designed the most beautiful phantom of the opera inspired tattoo. The whole team were lovely, made me feel very welcome and comfortable- like part of the family. Joey was brilliant and I love my tattoo- I've had masses of compliments and have recommended Black and Even to everyone I've spoken to who want a fantastic tattoo. can't wait for my next tattoo in January 2023.
