A great place for furniture at very good prices,a mixture of classic styles and modern, the lady in the shop was very helpful,and we went to their warehouse to pick up a wardrobe we had brought, and the guys loaded the car up and also gave us some handy tips as regards building the flat pac, highly recommended
Firstly i will say that the corner shop in Kempston is good and sells good items, However my case was different, around a year and a half ago i purchased 2 wardrobes 1 chest of drawers and bedside cabinet, The guys delivered which was not a problem. After this length of time i had the wardrobes moved (very very heavy) which i could not do on my own (pensioner) when the wardrobe was pulled away from the wall there were 2 screws which were on the outside rather than the inside! The delivery guys knew this and placed the wardrobe against a wall so i was unable to see the screws... until yesterday when it was moved, I was very disappointed by this and that the guys would do such a thing...But they did... I contacted Ernest and he was not interested after all this time, He stated the screws were on the outside because of the springs inside! Really....I knew he was talking utter rubbish, After exchanges of words he decided to blame me for the screws on the outside...REALLY, Oh and this is after his comment about the springs!! I want to warn others to CHECK VERY CAREFULLY The furniture you receive when you have a delivery from ERNEST The corner shop in KEMPSTON, As stated Ernest does sell good items but i just wish he had felt how i did instead of taking advantage of an elderly person by getting his guys to deliver a wardrobe that was a botched job by his guys...Ernest stated if i wanted perfect i should of paid more from a different shop, Regardless of cost you would still expect decent furniture and NOT poor workmanship. So I really do stress to all....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE check what you are getting from THE CORNER SHOP IN KEMPSTON. And above all MAKE SURE SCREWS ARE ON THE INSIDE!! PHOTO'S ATTACHED.
