Event Order – SCS Beckton 27 August – SCS Beckton: • Visited SCS Beckton and ordered the Belford Cinema Effect Sofa (with media console) exactly as displayed. • Went through the colour sample multiple times with the sales advisor; I took photos of the exact sample. • Advisor offered a discount, saying delivery would be free. • Advisor demonstrated the massage/vibration effect, which was a key selling point. • We all agreed the order was for the exact sofa as the showroom model, same corner, same cinema/media console, same features, but in the darker colour – 853. ⸻ 13 November – Delivery • Delivery arrived early. • Before accepting, we immediately noticed the colour was incorrect. • At no point before delivery had the advisor shown or referenced the colour/fabric that was eventually delivered, and it does NOT match the sample repeatedly reviewed in-store. • Gave the driver the order number; he checked batch codes and phoned Basildon Distribution Centre. • Distribution centre confirmed it was a manufacturer error and emailed the Beckton store to advise a reorder. • They told me I could accept the incorrect sofa temporarily until the correct one arrives. • After assembly, we discovered the delivered sofa does NOT include the media console, which was the main selling point. ⸻ • Attempts to Contact Beckton Store • Called the store multiple times — no answer. • Drove 40 minutes each way to Beckton; the store was empty but still not answering calls. ⸻ 13 November – In-Store at Beckton: • Spoke to store manager Shah. • He confirmed he saw the email from the distribution centre. • Said he would request an override code from Area Manager to reorder the correct sofa. • Repeated clearly that we want the exact same sofa as the display, with the cinema/media console, correct corner, and colour 853. • Manager said he would reorder it and call the next day. ⸻ 14 November – Update: • Received no call; had to chase several times. • Manager then said a new internal notice came in saying no reorders allowed for colour issues when the customer has a receipt. And I just made the cut off by coming into store the day before. • Stated this does not affect my situation, and he has processed the reorder as he has now received the override code. • He cannot provide the new order number until next week (to be given by staff member Sam). • Manager will call two weeks after his return from annual leave to discuss compensation. ⸻ • Additional Issues • We now know the “discount” was because the sales advisor ordered the sofa without the media console, despite using it as the key selling point. Misrepresentation and misselling. • The incorrect sofa delivered is taking up more corner space due to the wrong configuration. Not great with Christmas around the corner. • The online order tracker shows no colour information, so customers cannot verify what has been ordered. • Technical codes (sizes, colours, “3 corner 1”, etc.) make sense to staff, not customers — accuracy relies entirely on the advisor entering it correctly when in store. Next update will be provided next week, awaiting call with order number confirmation. Unfortunately for now it’s a 1 star based on the experience so far.

Christopher sold us a sofa with the promise of it fitting through a standard door frame. It arrived 30 mins ago and we were handed a card for another company that we have to pay for at our expense to break down the sofa further. Scs Bedford will be invoiced for the additional service as we discussed in the shop that we need it to fit through a standard door. With the arrival of twins in the next couple of months this is poor service and I will be expecting better customer service.

There is a female senior member of staff who usually works at Luton branch but is temporarily operating at your branch. After 4 months of waiting for our sofas I cancelled my order on Monday. She called me and said that the loan sofa would be collected on Thursday (TODAY) and then my refund will be authorised. I waited all day, no one came to collect nor did I receive any text or email. She knows exactly who me and my wife are because she’s been giving us false promises for about 3 months. I have ordered sofas from a different company now which are due on Saturday. If you do not collect your sofa by then I will bring it to your store myself through the front door. Sick of this company taking people for a joke. You have no idea how much you have exhausted us mentally, physically and financially for all the days I have sacrificed waiting around.

Purchased two sofas from SCS and received them in September. We had pre chosen the sofas we wanted as we have limited space to fit them in and also we wanted a specific colour / fabric type. We purchased the ‘High Density’ cushion foam as our old sofa 10years old plus had really stated to degrade All good until they were delivered. We sat on them that evening and immediately noticed that the cushions are not high density foam and when you get up the material gathers up. Long story short - SCS central have washed their hands of the situation saying I have to deal with the store. I am calling out AJ the sales guy in the Bedford store, as he tells me I bought a cheap sofa what do I expect, I purchased a sofa that fits my home! Price was never discussed other than to upgrade the cushions. The store manager, Nathan? I think refuses to contact me, personally I would steer well clear of SCS they remind me of Swiss Tony - they are happy to take your money, they also think it is acceptable to do nothing to resolve an issue with the quality of their goods

This company does not care once you have paid, they will assure you a certain item is arriving on a certain day then tell you it was only an estimate on the day it was supposed to arrive, It can take upto 28 days,Very bad customer services it goes along way to be nice. Iwas assured it will arrive on this date otherwise I would not have bothered

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had!!! We bought the sofa but when we went to get it totally different scenario. There’s absolutely no customer values. Integrity, honesty, accountability as all these means nothing to them!

Quite literally the most horrendous customer experience I’ve ever had. Make the sale, and it all goes rapidly downhill from there. It's been 2 months and haven't heard a thing, from what I got told for a delivery date that's wasn't true and have to wait another month for our sofa. Would never recommend this company nor will I be using this company again

First time visiting store, we were looking for a certain style and when we found it, Nathan was so helpful at explaining all the different options, fabrics, size and colours to us. There was no pressure at all, at any stage. We put down the deposit the same day (any amount we wanted) and were spoken through the process of buying now and paying later. He also gave us a free cleaning kit, which was very much appreciated. Wait time was 3 months, but we were expecting that. I was kept up to date via email on the delivery date and was texta few days before and then the night before with a time window. The sofas are better than we remember, so comfy and much sturdier and better than our old ones. The website (Creation) to pay online sometimes has a few issues, but easy enough to pay over the automated phone system or to their bank details. The only negative was when we rang the number on the text to ask about a different delivery date, the guy on the phone seemed very unwilling and just asked if anyone else could stay in to receive the delivery. I should think after making us wait 3 months, moving the delivery by a day or 2 wouldn't hurt. So my partner took the day off work anyway. Otherwise, very good experience and would recommend.

We bought this sofa a few years ago from SCS and it is their brand called endurance. I started noticing that the sofa started wearing out less than two years after I bought it. I spent close to £3000 on this sofa and was told it is real leather. As you can clearly see from the attached photos, the sofa was not worth the money I paid for it. I have tried to get in touch with their team several times and I have had no response whatsoever. They claim that the guarantee was only for the frame rather than the leather. I will never buy again from them.
