Still waiting for my refund for my sofa that was sold to me that didn’t fit into my door way even after the sales assistants said ‘it’ll be fine’ well, it wasn’t so now I’m sofa-less, am being ignored by the mk store emails and the customer service emails and still haven’t got my refund…the delivery drivers explained they have had this issue with this sofa a number of times…I would just love to have MY money back.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at the DFS Milton Keynes branch, particularly from a salesman named Luke. I had previously purchased a sofa and chair from DFS and decided to order another chair to match. I called the Milton Keynes store and provided Luke with my previous order number so he could clearly see the exact style and color I wanted. Despite this, three months later the chair was delivered to my home in the completely wrong color. The lack of customer service that has been followed has been just as frustrating. No one has bothered to offer any kind of compensation for their mistake, and I have now been told I must wait another 12 weeks for the correct chair – a chair that was originally ordered in the summer. To make matters worse, I had to call them myself to request that 90% of my money be refunded until the correct item arrives. Why should DFS keep my money and earn interest while I wait months for a product they failed to order correctly? The overall service has been terrible. The salesman was overly focused on selling cleaning and products than listening properly, and ultimately got the order wrong despite having all the necessary information. I am giving DFS 1 star for the incompetent service from Luke and 1 star for the complete lack of compensation or accountability. I would strongly advise others to be cautious when ordering from the Milton Keynes store.

DO NOT BUY A SOFA FROM HERE - ISSUES WITH SOFA - AFTERCARE SHOCKING. GO ELSEWHERE. LOOK AT THE TERRIBLE REVIEWS!! Continuous issues with sofa within 1 year. Much like most of the reviews…Aftercare and customer service is absolutely shocking. DFS don’t care and trying to wiggle out of any responsibility. Manager Sam is rude, dismissive and unhelpful. Louise equally the same. Typical sales place where its all smiles and help to get the sale but aftercare is non existent. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.

We recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with DFS in Milton Keynes. We purchased a sofa for my 80-year-old mother-in-law at the weekend and we planned with the store to collect it a few days later as it was already in-store. As you can imagine, we had everything arranged, including the van hire etc. However, when we arrived to pick up the sofa, we were shocked to find that the sofa was not there. The store had mistakenly sent it to a warehouse in Rugby. Instead of taking responsibility and helping us rectify the situation ASAP, the staff were very unhelpful. They suggested we could have it delivered the following week, which was not acceptable given an 80 year old woman needed a sofa in her new home before she moved in. After some back and forth, they promised delivery by Saturday, only to call us just 10 minutes after we left the store to say that wasn’t possible anymore, and it would have to be the following week. To make the experience worse, there’s no direct phone line to the store, so we had to go back to the store again to try and resolve the situation, where it was agreed that DFS would get the sofa back to store and we could collect the next day. When we returned the next day to collect the sofa, the staff were really rude, and “too busy with other customers” to assist us properly. Thankfully Michael was working in store today and he managed to help us locate the sofa and get it out of the store. In summary, all I can say from our experience this week is that they are quick to take your money but they struggle to manage any issues once the sale is made. They made the mistake, they have plenty of vans/vehicles, and they could have resolved this far more quickly. Instead, they made what was already a stressful situation much worse. Over the last 20 years, we have purchased many sofas from DFS…. but never again. Everyone works hard for their money, and based on this experience, I would NOT recommend DFS in Milton Keynes. They do not deserve your business. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere!

Being a previous DFS customer we decided to return to buy a new sofa. Having spent time in the showroom with the salesman we placed an order for a new sofa. The salesman was very helpful and knowledgeable. We paid £1000 deposit and were told 8 weeks for delivery. We were happy customers and ready to wait 8 weeks for delivery. Currently at 10 weeks and have received 3 dates for delivery none of which have materialised. They have tried to deliver half the order but we refused to accept this until we can receive the full order. Called numerous times, have been cut off numerous times, no one has tried to call me back or update me on what was going on. Now concerned they have lost half the sofa and we have to wait a further 8 weeks for it to be made again but no one can tell me anything at all. They have contacted the depot and supplier to find out what is going on and promised someone will call me back - I won't hold my breath! Have escalated to a manager now hoping someone will call me as I cant speak to the store over the phone but would have to make a 50 mile trip to speak to the sales man who took our original order. Come on guys, sort yourselves out here! Poor customer service and it was never like this before. Always used to be good service from being a previous customer. What the hell has gone wrong?

Beware of the parking rip off! There are several stores nearby so if you're are planning to have a good look around be careful, you will receive a 60 pounds fine if you stay for longer than 2,5 hours. I wonder why people choose to shop online !

Gave this store/ company 1x star as its minimum required to be able to leave a review obviously otherwise they would get -5. Ordered sofa as soon as moved in to new house 31 Oct. Guaranteed delivery for Christmas! they said, well let me tell you that’s not correct. Even more cheeky that even half way through November they were still advertising ‘guaranteed for Christmas’! I had sent several emails to Giovanna Sounders (a person who sold me the sofa at MK store) a week before scheduled store delivery to arrange a home delivery slot and make sure I get it a day or two after it’s been delivered to the store of course had no response and no help from Giovanna. Moving on, I managed to get through to DFS main office on the phone asking for home delivery slot but was told not possible until sofa has been delivered to the store (was scheduled and delivered the next day). I was worried that if I don’t book in advance I will have no chance of getting delivery slot before Christmas and of course I was right. I had DFS calling me to arrange delivery but now the earliest they can do is 27th December. Unwell, disabled and with very ill children I will have to continue to sit on the floor this Christmas thanks to incompetence and ignorance of people working at DFS. If only anyone at this company had a little common sense and compassion but of course as soon they get the money there’s no way of simple human communication and kindness. Be prepared to wait and then to be told you need to wait some more. I am looking forward to hearing back from the head office regarding this obvious breach of contract! ***update*** I received a phone call from DFS Milton Keynes the very next day after writing my review and complaint to HQ and was told my sofa will be delivered in a few hours and it was.

Extremely disappointed with the level of service after purchasing a sofa. Was told the sofa would be delivered within 12 Weeks from the date of purchase, currently standing at 18 weeks with still no date of which the delivery would be. Store manager and customer services still cannot confirm when the item will be delivered. They happy enough to take your money but unwilling to put in any effort to resolve issues on their end.
