From the first engagement with Mark and Tania they have been both tremendous. We had been considering a dining snooker table for, literally, years and had investigated many of them. But there was concern about the knee room (for some reason we have family members who sit cross-legged...). Mark suggested a table which had lost its leaves, and then he could have made some extra large leaves. Sounded ideal, and indeed it has been. But that's only the start of their excellence. We then asked for some chairs to match the table - and Tania sourced us these absolutely beautiful Aesthetic sytle late Victoria chairs, which Mark then offered to clean to match the oak table (they were almost black with all the polish over the last 140 years). I'm sure he regretted offering to do so - the chairs are so intricate - it must have taken ages - but they are a perfect match. And then, we asked if they could find us an unholsterer to redo the chairs. Again, Mark and Tania made it happen. Meantime, our timing of wanting the table and chairs for Xmas came nearer - while we the family were still umming and arring about the fabric for the chairs and baize for the table. However, calm and peaceful as you like, on December 13 Tom and his friend arrived at our house - great company for an afternoon, and set everything up. The result - pure magic. The table plays perfectly and looks great in a dark green baize (Hunter Green). The Aesthetic chairs with Shand Liberty Fabric are a great match for the barley twist table. The dining experience with the extra large leaves is ideal - and Mark fitted a couple of extra catches for belt and braces connection. The scoreboard and cue stand we asked for last minute are also perfect - all late Victorian Riley of Accrington. And all the oak matches our barley twist stairs. We have dined and or played almost every night since. I think it's fair to say that, of all purchases ever made, this may well have been the best. Especially given Mark and Tania made us entirely confident that - without even seeing the table and chairs before they arrived - they would be perfect. And they are. It was surely a huge amount of work to do everytihng that we were looking for, and to such a level of craftmanship. Perfection in every way. We recommend Mark and Tania completely, and wish them and their business all success in the future.
Just the best experience ever. Great, honest communication with real experts in their field. Our new antique Riley table has been stunningly restored, by Mark, and assembled in place by Tom. We couldn't be more pleased. Definitely use these guys if you're looking for a real snooker/pool table made in the UK (not just assembled in the UK), and one where every care has been taken with the sourcing, polishing, and even the staining of the leather pockets and matching buttons. It's so perfect. I know it's cheaper to buy a new one, but you'll never get this quality, with its seasoned wood and Welsh slate bed. I'm so glad I found this company!
We love our new billiards table! Mark has done a fantastic job restoring the table and has taken the time to explain the process and ensured we are happy at every step of the process. The table is truly stunning. Tom the delivery driver also worked meticulously to put the table together and gave advice that I'm sure will prove invaluable.
