A proper country park. No trashy entertainments, no food stalls, just nice countryside with peace and quiet. A nice bike ride from Sandy Water Park in Llanelli up to Mynydd Mawr and back is 25 miles there and back along the old tramway. A fine view from the top of the park.

I took our baby daughter out for an hour in the pram this morning. A beautiful day matched with a beautiful park. The loop has plenty of little paths with rivers, woodland and activities for little ones. We "Tip-toed as quiet as a mouse" and "Trotted like a horse" near the river! A lovely walk, very highly recommended.

Visited Mynydd Mawr today, beautiful place to walk the dogs, lots of different little paths to wander off and explore the nature and wildlife. Lots of little streams trickling with the calm sounds of water, lots of mini bridges to cross. If you're looking to pack a picnic there's lots of benches to sit at and other seats to rest your feet. Unfortunately not very wheelchair/disabled access friendly. Parking is free.

Great place for dog walkers, runners and some trails are suitable for horse riders (look out for the signs). Some paths are wheelchair accessible, there are quite a mix of rough and firm paths to explore. There are plenty of seats dotted around to rest when needed or just to take in the view. Remember to keep your dog on a lead unless they have great recall, and carry plenty of poo bags please.

Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park is a wonderful place to visit for a peaceful and scenic walk. The park has a large circular walkway with many tracks leading off to wooded areas, which provides a great opportunity to explore the surrounding nature. The car park is expansive and we've never had any trouble finding a spot to park, even during peak times. The park is currently undergoing some work, which is great to see as it's making even more walkways available for visitors. However, one thing we feel is lacking is a play park for kids. It would be great to see some sort of play area to keep younger visitors entertained and engaged during their visit. Overall, we had a pleasant experience at Mynydd Mawr Woodland Park and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful walk in nature. With the ongoing improvements, we're excited to see what new features the park will have in the future.

A great place for walking and cycling. You can walk along the forest path or drive alongside the road adapted to cycling. This place is also suitable for walks with children.

Lovely woodland park with lots of different routes running all around and through it. Wide variety of land with open plains, wooded areas rivers and old quarry remains. Excellent parking and conveniently located.

We are incredibly lucky to have this as our local park. It is a beautiful spot and the dogs love to run around and explore the huge grounds. There are so many hidden beautiful sections: the riverside walk, the hill walk where the mine used to be, etc etc. The wildflowers have taken over and there are lots of birds. It is a magical spot. If you do have doggies, there are a few streams with natural pools for them to have a drink on a hot day.
