Had a kitchen fitted by this company. They were fantastic from start to finish. Would recommend to anybody. All staff were friendly, helpful and skilled and ensured I had the kitchen of my dreams. Thank you Wittering West.
Update Nov 25 - We now have a pipe leaking under the tiles and loose tiles on the kitchen and utility floor as there was not enough cement underneath plus a cupboard they repaired once is all splitting along the edge again. We would not recommend this company based on our stressful experience during the installation of our kitchen, conservatory and bathroom. Works started in September 2021,snagging wasn't finished until 3 yrs later. From the beginning, we felt they would provide us with a superior service, and were told the works would be completed by Christmas 2021. However, it soon became clear that they were not well organised, we had to chase them for updates, workers would come for a day then go off to another job another day, they didn't always arrive when expected and didn't keep to agreed schedules. It became obvious they had no respect for our time or the conditions we were living in. Works were not completed by Christmas and we had our Christmas with Acrow props and plastic sheeting up between our kitchen and dining room plus no bifold doors to outside in our conservatory which joined to the kitchen - this huge hole was boarded up, so the house was cold and dark for the 2 weeks they were not working. Temporary electrics were installed so we could use the oven which they never came back to complete. It was only when we had some other electrical works carried out in another room, this was highlighted and remedied at our cost. The main works were only then completed by February 2022. This wasn't just shoddy workmanship, it was a complete disregard for our safety. The site was rarely left clean and tidy at the end of each day. Since then we have had numerous snagging issues some of which have not been resolved, but we no longer wish to deal with them any further. We mainly dealt with one of the partners who told us lies and did not relay information on to the other partner. The floor tiling has been left uneven as it was subcontracted out to someone they had not used before and they even had the audacity to use and unqualified plasterer leading to a host of issues with the finish. Our drive was damaged by the concrete lorry that came, we had to argue with Wittering West to get this repaired The roof of the conservatory is not square with the walls, rendering is not level either side of the patio doors - we were told this is because the walls weren't square! Yet they built the walls !! The kitchen units had several marks on them and we have battled with the company to get this resolved. We fought to get the doors analysed for quality and reluctantly allowed them to take a door and a drawer, it took 2 months for them to be analysed and they were returned to us in a terrible condition with massive chips and dents. It hen took another 3 months for this to be rectified. We had a sliding door fitted and they left the wall in a terrible condition after, despite constantly asking them to remedy, this still hasn't been done. Over the past 18 months, we have battled with the director for the works to be completed satisfactorily, but he has lied to cover up mistakes and every problem has been met with excuses, with us having to constantly communicate with him through his secretary. Deadlines were missed and we have been left with workmanship that we have had to remedy ourselves or get someone else to do at our expense. To top it all, we have kitchen units which are not really fit for purpose. The director constantly moans that he has had to pay out for works to be put right, well if he had contacted the companies to replace any faulty products in a timely fashion, then the cost would have been born by them and if he had used the quality workers we were promised then he wouldn't have had to pay to put their shoddy workmanship right. Never Ever buy a handpainted kitchen from these people, it will not last ! and unless you want your project to be completed with endless headaches and stress, then I would avoid using Wittering West at all costs. Other reviewers it seems have had the same unfortunate experience.
This is the second time we've used Wittering West. The first time was 12 years ago to redesign and install a completely new kitchen and more recently to give it a "refresh" with a new quartz worktop, cooker hood, boiling water tap etc. The Director Jason, assistant Lisa and installation Manager Lincoln (also a Director) were excellent throughout. Jason's detailed product knowledge and honest insight helped us avoid making any potential costly mistakes. Lisa was excellent in replying promptly to our emails and questions (and chasing Jason for answers!) and Lincoln's quality of workmanship was spot on. We'd previously warned them that we didn't want anything 'out of plan' or problems identified to be done without first checking with us and they were excellent in that regard. We're super happy with the service provided, quality of materials and workmanship, overall costs and the support we received on both occasions. Thank you!
Care and Attention to detail from Wittering West. I was interested in the Prefix WARMroof® system and they put me onto Wittering West. Jason is a quality designer and is very good at listening to want you want and giving you lots of choice within a budget. They converted our conservatory into sun-room, with an insulated floor, sliding door and huge picture window. Paul and Cameron were diligent in their work and treated our family with respect throughout. It took 2 months to build from start to finish and the site was beautifully kept. Since then we found small faults in the door. The boys have been back twice to fix and repair any issues at no extra cost. We have used the room throughout the winter and it has been a joy. We also engaged Wittering West to replace our windows. Dave and Olly were excellent and replaced all the units in 2 days, including making the windows bigger and repairing plasterwork. It was all finished perfectly and double-checked by Paul. After which Wittering West came in and removed a wall and created a brand new kitchen space, putting in a new door into the sun-room. They completed the work within 3 months alongside the conservatory conversion. The work was impeccably finished by Lincoln and Cameron and our designer Italian kitchen is a dream to cook in. Today were are having our bathroom fitted by Wittering West, we went back to them because we have confidence in their standards and quality of finish. If you want something that will last and a company that will continue to care about their work long after they've left the site. Call on Wittering West.
I’ve used Wittering West a few times now and they did a fabulous job building and completely reconfiguring my downstairs to make an open plan space. They work on strict timelines and the whole build was done within the expected time. The team were very helpful and their Project Manager kept in communication with me nearly every day. We had looked at many companies but Wittering provided a huge range and the colours we wanted. As for price, funnily enough Howdens plus an independent fitter worked out roughly the same, so there was no value in going down that route. Therefore, we had a new kitchen fitted by Wittering West and overall we are very pleased. We chose the Kitchen Stori brand which is painted. The quality looks good and the carcasses look very good, apparently egger board which is a good brand. Only been in a few days so no idea how durable it is and time will tell. That would be my response for any kitchen brand on day 1. Now for the fitters and organisation by Wittering. Brilliant! They organised the plasterers, electrican and gas man. I organised the floor (our own choice, they can do the floor also) which was done by Jason Draper who was also excellent. The electrican did exactly what we needed, solved problems and worked efficiently. Plasterers came bang on time and did a great job. Lisa called me to let me know what was happening at each stage. Overall it took 4 weeks but goes to show it is not a small job and takes a lot of time to get right. Worktops were templated and fitted in a week and were spot on. As the other google review said Dave was the main fitter from start to finish and he deserves a medal. He was exceptional. Careful, attention to detail, skilled carpenter and joiner and an all round good bloke only too pleased to help. I have no problem at all recommending anyone to have Wittering to fit their kitchen. The plan took some back and forth to get what we wanted and even a few last minute changes were done. If Wittering West can continue this level of service and flexibility good on them. I have just had a new bathroom fitted and the whole process has been amazing due to the fantastic services of Sue who helped me design the bathroom and Lincoln who fitted it. They both worked so hard to ensure everything ran smoothly and kept me informed every step of the way. I cannot thank them enough.

We couldn’t speak more highly of Wittering West. From the beginning to the very end of our kitchen & bathroom project, the whole team kept us in the loop, they were fab. They offer so much choice, Jason gave us sound advice on what would work & what wouldn’t and they even managed to keep within our budget. I never normally review, but Im a Stickler for reading reviews, so I thought it was only right to shout about the positive experience we had from them. Once the decorating has finished, I will share some pictures.
DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS THEY AGREE THAT THE WORK WILL BE CARRIED OUT BY DAVE. So we decided to have a new kitchen fitted and hallway floor done, the first part of the process, design and booking went off without any problems in this regard the company did very very well. Now when I comes to the practical work, Jesus christ it leaves alot to be desired. So the work started earlier than expected which was great, but that's about all that was good, unit measurements weren't right in the utility room so had to be cut down, this is after the work has been completed and the door still sticks on a cupboard due to it being tight. The company loves to say oh but if we don't know we can't do anything. Despite us speaking to the workmen about issues, pipework and electric not completed in time for plastering so the plasterer had to do multiple visits to patch work. Radiator leaking so water was under a newly laid floor a day before. Holes in the plaster not filled in behind the units so I had to do it myself. Alarm box in the hallway not removed so I had to do it myself and plaster the hole all of which was charged for. The washing machine waste pipe not fitted correctly so water pumped out onto an electric point tripping the electrics until the socket was replaced. Multiple times workmen not turning up to start work and multiple days where workmen would leave after a few hours for another job while mine wasn't completed For several weeks over the deadline. The project manager came to our house I believe twice once to measure and once after we created a snagging list because no one checked on how the job was going. The final straw was the electric blowing to which I well and truly lost my rag with these people. If you want excuses after excuses, little to no follow up and stress added to your life then go for it. I will add however that the workman that was sent to finish the job called dave needs a damn medal, he had to correct problems, fit a utility room and do the best job he could with no plans and an angry customer. Dave was a superhero. Everyone else was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. For anyone that disputes my review we have the pictures and videos to prove it.
