   From the moment I entered the hospital I was greeted by friendly and informative staff and the whole team really made me feel relaxed and comfortable about my cataract surgery. The operation itself was actually a very pleasant experience because I was constantly being informed by the surgeon and doctors about what they were doing at any given moment. The aftercare was second to none and the wonderful nurses were exemplary in their attendance to me. I would like to thank everyone for a very positive experience and it is definitely the best hospital I have ever been in as an out patient. I’m actually looking forward to going back again for the second eye to be fixed in the near future!

   Had a fantastic experience at Blakelands hospital!! Reception staff friendly smiley and inviting Dr Pai was so friendly and explained everything so well We had a pre op assessment and the lady was lovely Then on the day of my operation everyone was so friendly and warm and inviting! I really couldn’t ask for more from a hospital a world away from KGH! Tea and biscuits provided when I came round from surgery Lovely friendly staff!    I had bunion surgery a few weeks ago at Blakelands hospital. I was so anxious about the operation, but Dr Bramell had taken the time to explain every part of the procedure at my pre op and was so thorough that I felt so much better about my upcoming operation On the day, I turned up and was greeted by the amazing receptionist, who made me feel so at ease. She was so kind and friendly. All of the nurses were just brilliant. And made me feel so welcome and like nothing was too much trouble. The operation itself has to be cancelled due to one of the parts for my operation not quite being ready yet. For someone who suffers from anxiety, this could have been really difficult for me to cope with if it hadn't been for such an outstanding, kind, caring team at Blakelands. The surgeon was just amazing. Taking his time to come and explain everything to me, and the day manager, Ian was so lovely and reassuring. They spent a lot of time and effort coming up with a solution to reschedule my operation for the next day. This meant the surgeon, his team, and many others giving up their day off in order to complete my surgery the next day so that I would not have to wait too long. Even having to source an anesthetist.This meant the absolute world to me that all of these people would selflessly take their own time to help me and complete my operation. The procedure went so well and everyone involved in my operation, went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. I honestly cannot praise the staff at Blakelands enough, they are a credit to the hospital and I would recommend Blakelands to anyone needing a procedure. Youare guaranteed to be in safe hands. I would like to give special thanks to Dr Bramell and his team, Ian, Maddie, Kirsty, Florence, Joan, Alex and Linda for all of their kindness and help, and Sarah Treliving for the amazing aftercare. Also to the man who took my x-rays. I forgot to get his name, but he is a bit magical, and just so kind.

   All I can say is thank you to the entire team at Blakelands Hospital. From start to finish you have all been nothing but friendly, professional, calming and so much more. I was treated so well by your entire team and made to feel so at ease and you calmed me right down and took such amazing care of me while I was there for my operation. Words just aren’t enough really. I would highly recommend Blakelands and the team over and over again. Thank you ☺️

   From my introductory appointment I found all staff at Blakelands extremely polite, friendly and welcoming. On the day of the procedure I was welcomed like a valued guest. Every member of staff was so friendly that I felt more like a neighbour than a patient and was almost able to forget why I was there. I was only there for an hour and, unfortunately, cannot recall many names but all are deserving of warm and heartfelt thanks. Thank you.

   Just had an appointment here, left feeling like I'm making my pain up. Had this issue now for 16 months. Also very confused, as my ultrasound does indicate a problem. The consultant completely dismiss one of the issues I was referred for. Just because my pain and issues do not conform with the "text book" test does not mean my pain or issue doesn't exist. 16 months I've had this, pain every day, not being able to do certain things some days but can do it other days.. Maybe I'm so use to this pain now! But I can assure you this isn't made up and the ultrasound is proof.. I give 2 stars for the young lady on reception who's 21st birthday it was. She seemed polite and pleasant.

1. mustn't grumble ★★★★☆

   I recently had a colonoscopy at the Blakelands and overall the experience wasn't too bad . I had asked to be sedated which made the whole procedure go by very quickly and the nurse attending made me feel very much at ease. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the nurse having made 3 attempts to put a IV in me. I could see she was getting increasingly frustrated, with an accompaniment of sighing and tutting, which isn't professional and trust me it did not put my nerves at ease.
