   I visited the Aldi Donnington store and noticed a concerning issue, particularly for individuals with severe allergies. Packaged walnuts and mixed nuts stored in netting were positioned directly above the potatoes. Given the current festive season and special offers, it is important to ensure safety, as exposure to allergenic nuts could result in a serious or potentially life threatening allergic reaction, such as anaphylactic shock. This poses a significant risk of cross-contamination. In other stores, there are designated sections specifically for nuts and related products, which demonstrate greater thoughtfulness towards customers with allergies. It would be advisable for Aldi to consider implementing similar measures to enhance safety for all shoppers.

   All the usual Aldi benefits and cost savings which we like but for some reason the staff culture in this one is very bad. Some of the staff are rude and surly, constantly talking over you on there headsets, treating the customers like an inconvenience. I’ve been to this store maybe 10-15 times so it’s not a one off. I’m going to stick to the one at St George’s in the future where the atmosphere is completely different. There’s one very tall member of staff may be 6’4” who treated me with utter contempt tonight because I had to call him over for problems with the checkout, none of which was caused by me. I can’t imagine why the two stores have such different cultures it’s like night and day.

   This is a lovely store. Not only are the shelves and fridges always well stocked, the place is immaculately clean and Health & Safety is obviously a priority because I’ve never found boxes, sheets of polythene or cardboard lying about. But what I love the most is the attentiveness of the check-out staff: I had eight 5L bottles of water in my trolley and in every other supermarket I have to haul them into my trolley, haul them ALL out again to scan them, haul them back INTO my trolley then haul them OUT again to put them into my car boot. As I have a hernia this is both agonising and dangerous but there’s no chance I have to do that in Aldi - the staff on the self-service tills literally SWOOP on my trolley, swipe one bottle then multiply the total by eight to save me having to scan each one. Now THAT’S what I call service! Very impressed with this store.

   Great shop. Some really yummy different piece's. I think the packaging of item's is great, some look really classy and you would think they were from somewhere like Mark's & Spencer. I especially love the treats they do around Christmas and Easter, much better looking than the branded stuff, plus great price's and taste just as good if not better.

   Definately one of the older Aldi stores, looking very worse for wear. Good stock on special buys and shelves not too bad either. Customer service is okay and I had a pleasant experience on my visit but I was my first visit in a while since a branch has opened closer to home in Newport.

   Very bad experience today, a female member of staff very rude even in front of the Manager he did not know where to put himself, she was shouting and waving her arms around in front of everyone in there, totally unacceptable, Manager just stood there an did nothing, did not even try to control her. reported to Head Office.
