   I joined the Beauvais Square Shortstown surgery in early 2025 and have found all the teams very competent, flexible, accomodating when possible and quick acting. I like the appointment booking systems whic allows to call 111 if conditions require and the possibility to state my requirements and explains my conditions confidentially. The repeat prescription system on the whole works well and I have occasional telephone conversations when necessary, I can only recommend this surgery.

   Today I saw Dr Shah and my appointment was on time as usual. Yesterday I saw Dr Abouarab he was very helpful as usual. All the staff including the reception ladies are excellent. We're very lucky to have such good service.

   Our daughter was seen by the clinical staff at Shortstown Surgery yesterday ( same day appointment ) who was very thorough, knowledgeable and happy to give explanation regarding treatment and expectations. Call was made after 8 am. The receptionist was very polite and very helpful, he did offer an early appointment but our daughter was at school, so he offered a pm appointment. All staff at this surgery are great and willing to help. Excellent service. Thank you very much to you all Parents of Helena

   I always look forward to my consultation with Dr N. Patel. He's always smiling..and it warms my heart. He's a doctor who truly cares. When I put forward my issues, he listens attentively. Then he starts his 'work'..explaining all he knows. He does his utmost to resolve issues. I leave his room, smiling, and satisfied. TY, Dr Patel.

   I am rating this surgery 5 stars due to the two doctors I trust most....Dr Heaney, who unfortunately isn't there at the moment and Dr Patel who took over my care from Dr Heaney. I have a great mistrust of doctors and people in general but these two doctors have helped me so much and although I have to wait to talk to them as they are not at woottonvale every day, I would rather wait that trust anyone else. I really cannot praise both doctors highly enough, they have got me through my darkest days. The one problem I do have though is that not all my medication gets toy pharmacists, I had to ring Dr Patel to issue my diazapam on my last prescription and my tramadol has also been missed off....these two drugs are really important to allow me to use a severely injured right arm and to control the severe pain I suffer. I have messaged the practise for the tramadol and luckily I asked about the diazapam which Dr Patel had to issue even though I had sent a letter in stating I needed it...this is a regular order so do not understand how it was missed. I am now waiting on the tramadol. Other than this I would state this is a really good practice due to Dr Heaney and Dr Patel who have taken the time to reassure me and treat me with respect.

   Have only ever had good experiences with this surgery and i have been a patient here for 5 years. Very recently called to make an appointment with a doctor, was given a telephone appointment and the doctor called me back that same evening and then advised a face to face appointment was necessary and someone would be in touch. The reception staff were then very efficient in contacting me to arrange an appointment and within a couple of days i had seen the doctor and been referred to a department in the hospital for further diagnosis. Excellent service, thank you Wootton Vale Healthy Living Centre.
