I went in for a blood test today and was seen within 10 minutes by a brilliant nurse. The blood test involved collecting 6 vials and I was nervous about having blood taken as previous blood tests have left me bruised and sore. I needn't have worried! The nurse put me at ease and I didn't even feel the needle going in! Overall a really great experience, I was in and out within 20 minutes of arriving.

Reading all the bad reviews I was prepared for the worse blood test ever. I had an appointment at 8:15 am. I walked in around 8:10 and the nurse called me in not even after a 10 min wait. The nurses are polite, quick, efficient and kind. I left the building around 8:25. Please be patient and kind towards the staff and you will get the same back.

Receptionist needs to learn to be polite. Instead of ignoring people at the desk. If you don't like your job, find a job away from the public service sector.

To the nurse I saw this morning, I didn't know the NHS did moral treatments as well as physical, but thank you for judging my lateness as a defect of personal character that needed punishing. I know a cursory glance outside would have shown the carnage on the roads this morning which I was reminded of as I had to drive to a surrounding village to get home. But I do understand that you are very busy and couldn't see me - after all when I arrived there was no one in reception and it took less than 45 seconds for you to call me in after pausing your corridor chat with a colleague. Of course I did ring ahead but sadly no one picked up the phone, probably because you are so busy. But thats ok, I've had the hold music from the GP surgery to keep me company for the past 55 minutes whilst I try and rebook but I've spent 45 of those covering 3 miles in the car like I spent 45 minutes covering those miles to get to you, so not entirely a waste of time. But its good because I'm not busy and have 2 hours of time to waste. Bless your heart. You keep on judging.

Arrived at 3pm on Friday 1st June with an ear infection and sat in an empty reception for an hour before the visiting optician informed me that the doctor left at 3pm! The web site specifically says the centre is open until 5pm. Completely unprofessional, would it have been too difficult to leave a note to the effect?

Regularly go here for blood tests. Sadly the Nurses here have started to really hurt my arm when taking blood. Very rough and seem to have become desensitised to patients when they should be treating you nicely. They need to be more gentle or loose patients. If not I will have to go to the hospital instead to get good care and treatment on blood tests. Nobody wants a needle shoved into a vein when they can easily be gentle.
