Fabulous local theatre, great auditorium and lovely vibe, the bar area is only small, relatively expensive and needs modernising but its not the reason for going there, the show was brilliant, sound, lights, performance.....comfy seats too
This is a nice little theatre, with reasonable prices and cheap drinks. It's quite steeply raked, so every seat has a good view. We saw Little Shop of Horrors, and they'd made a great job of the production (in fact, equal to some of the Pro shows we've seen of the same musical). If I had to raise some improvement points, it's not the easiest place to find and park, and the sound balance wasn't quite right, so the main characters' voices didn't project quite as well as they could have done, but overall, we really enjoyed a great show.
I have recently moved to the area from London and was convinced I would miss the London theatre scene. How wrong can you be? I have now enjoyed 4 productions/events at my very local Daneside theatre. I am told that the productions are amateur but i can’t believe they are as the acting has been spellbinding. “Little Shop of Horrors” was witty, had incredible scenery and props, and was the sweetest production I’ve seen ( I’ve seen it twice in the West end) “One man two guvnors” had me in laughing my socks off with the most incredible actors and then, I paid only £6 for a cinema ticket (the theatre is sometimes a cinema too) There was also a Pink Floyd tribute band with an amazing light show and phenomenal guitarist and also a fun filled Meatloaf musical. I didn’t want to write this because if the word gets out about how good this place is I may not get tickets to future shows ( everything I have attended has been a sellout) but I’m really writing this for the wonderful actors who have given me so much joy over the past few months. Thankyou.
Excellent evening amateur play seating comfy view good. Parking a bit tight. Drinks and ice cream at interval. Very enjoyable.
Went to watch sleeping beauty tonight, it was absolutely amazing, the kids enjoyed so did the adults , well done to all the cast and everyone involved it was brilliant.
Lovely local theatre showing home grown talent and movie catchups. Congleton is very fortunate to have such a lovely venue.
Mathilda - What a show! The cast and crew put on an amazing performance. Front of house staff were helpful and professional. Well worth supporting this little treasure of ours in Congleton! Go see something- you won't be disappointed....
Just been to see Footloose at Daneside Theatre. Under the musical directorship of Jack Smith this was a memorable evening.The quality of the performances outshone may at more prestigious venues. Perfect timing and clear strong vocals were enjoyed from beginning to end.It was a foot tapping roaring success clearly enjoyed by all including our two young granddaughters who were immersed throughout.Well done.
