“Being retired i found i had time on my hands and decided to get into art. Since school (where I didn't do well in art) I have only created one small watercolour and 3 drawings so as I'm a real beginner I took the plunge with Seasons Art in Congleton. Very glad I did - it's very well run by Steph and Alison and the course material was well thought out. You have to provide paper, pencils, ruler, eraser yourself but paints and pastels are supplied in abundance in class - as are tea, coffee and biscuits to help you through. Alison is lovely and an excellent teacher and very good at all the media. Steph also is lovely (never without her signature beaming smile) and provides all of the materials. Alison demonstrates the techniques etc by projecting her phone onto a huge screen making it easy to understand. She is quick to answer questions and to advise on anything you're struggling with. So I can heartily recommend the class if you're contemplating joining - it's a fantastic introduction to art amongst a group of like minded folk (my class were lovely and we had some great laughs). My only tiny criticism is that being a slow learner I would have liked a little more time on the real basics - but hey there's a lot to pack into 14 classes and I'm very proud of the work that I produced.”
“We have loved every minute of out little girls experience throughout nursery, right from the baby room she settled in so well and has been well cared for and nurtured through her journey. Our little one is due to start school in September and you have prepared her so so well. You are all AMAZING!!”
“My little girl absolutely loves her Tiny Toes dance classes with Miss Liz! We started when she was just 12 months old, she was a really shy little girl and barely left my knee at first during classes, fast forward a year later and she has come on leaps and bounds, she is now running to the front without me, joining in with all the bigger children and prancing around the house doing her ‘good toes’ and ‘sautés’ all day long! Absolutely cannot recommend these classes and Miss Liz enough.”
“Fantastic experience here. Kids, 7 and 4, in two seperate classes go here weekly and have a great time. They really enjoy the classes. The staff are lovely, really engage the children. Fully recommend.”
“I have recently moved to the area from London and was convinced I would miss the London theatre scene. How wrong can you be? I have now enjoyed 4 productions/events at my very local Daneside theatre. I am told that the productions are amateur but i can’t believe they are as the acting has been spellbinding. “Little Shop of Horrors” was witty, had incredible scenery and props, and was the sweetest production I’ve seen ( I’ve seen it twice in the West end) “One man two guvnors” had me in laughing my socks off with the most incredible actors and then, I paid only £6 for a cinema ticket (the theatre is sometimes a cinema too) There was also a Pink Floyd tribute band with an amazing light show and phenomenal guitarist and also a fun filled Meatloaf musical. I didn’t want to write this because if the word gets out about how good this place is I may not get tickets to future shows ( everything I have attended has been a sellout) but I’m really writing this for the wonderful actors who have given me so much joy over the past few months. Thankyou.”
“This is a tremendous venue in the middle of Cheshire farmland. It may sound quaint but the set up is very professional. You are able to simply book your seats for performances or you can hire tables in the restaurant for your own indoor picnic. We saw James Pearson and friends at a Jazz evening, and he is the resident at Ronnie Scott's in London. So that can't be bad. The place is celebrating its 50th anniversary and so it's longevity speaks volumes for its popularity and viability.”
“Fun morning katakanu and canoe session with teens. Naomi and Joe were very helpful and wanted us to get the most out of our session, so they tailored it to us. Beautiful setting to sit and have an ice-cream after with picnic benches outside. We had a voucher from friends, and this experience would be an excellent experience present for a family.”
“Brilliant advice and quality plants at affordable prices prices”
“Loved finally getting to The Mill. What a labyrinth of curios & treasures on 3 floors. I was drawn by the great stall of catscradlevintagespace on Fb... Very theatrical staging . Staff very friendly. Hoping to make a return visit soon! Love my purchase.”
“My son and daughter have been attending the karate classes for over six months now. Just a few days ago they both achieved their orange belts which made me very proud. They already had their yellow belts and sensei Paula planned an extra training session last Friday to get all the kids prepared for the gradings the next day. Under Paula’s careful guidance the children are very confident and assured in all the karate basics, the kata’s and sparring. I have sat and watched from the back of the hall since the beginning and it always amazes me how patient and positive Sensei Paula is with each kid as they learn differently. Every session is different and the kids really enjoy it. The standards the kids are achieving so quickly is quite remarkable. It’s very affordable as well and Paula goes out of her way to get to know all the parents as well. I had practiced karate myself for several years so can recognise not just a good teacher but a great teacher. Paula is a great teacher and quite gifted to be able to impart her wisdom, especially to children. If you fancy your kids learning modern Goju Ryu karate in a fun and safe environment I’d thoroughly recommend the Monday weekly classes at Astbury Village Hall in Congleton. The same classes are also run in Sandbach on a Wednesday at 4pm.”
“We had the pleasure of using Kids Corner for several months and only change in circumstances forced us to change nursery. Fantastic staff and kitchen, we were extremely happy with they way we were made welcome.”

“Superb child centred care. The team are dedicated child development professionals, with a great sense of humour. My children left here seven years ago, but still talk about “The nursery ladies” today. It’s a unique place with a unique team. We will always hold them dear in our hearts for what they did for our family.”
“Really great dance company friendly and professional amazing with all age groups”

“Life-changing nursery! We found this place through it's stay and play sessions and it quickly became our favourite weekly activity. It was such a welcoming and nurturing environment for both me and my little one, and we made great friends there both with other families and the lovely staff. We found the gentle and respectful ethos aligned so well with our parenting style that we took our little one out of his mainstream nursery when he reached 2 and put him in the nursery where he absolutely thrived. The staff are incredible positive role models and I honestly learnt so much from watching their interactions with my son. He's developed into a wonderful, nature-loving, kind and caring, curious individual and he adored his time at Ladybugs. He's now at school but always looks forward to going to the holiday club and greets the staff with big hugs whenever he sees them. I can't recommend Ladybugs highly enough. Absolutely fantastic.”
“My friend goes here so u get a 5”
“I went there it’s a lovely country nursery”
“Shaftesbury Dance is truly a great place to learn. Both of my daughters (6 and 9) go to lessons each week and have so much fun. There are a wide range of classes aimed at different ages and abilities, all taught in a relaxed and fun way for them. My oldest daughter is part of the Show Dance team and has enjoyed performing on the stage at lots of venues - even Blackpool Tower Ballroom. She is also part of the competition squad and competes in freestyle, street and Rock and Roll. The teaching team are experienced and excel at bringing the best out of the children without putting to much pressure on them. My girls have both improved massively in skills and life confidence. I’ve even had lessons myself so can recommend the adult classes too! If you want somewhere that teaches the joy of dance, Shaftesbury is for you!”
