Shocking bar where drinks are watered down and door staff will do anything for a fight. Three bouncers and ‘manager’ decided it was appropriate to throw me down the stairs and assault me and friends because i dropped a bottle of water. Absolutely avoid this place!

Great local bar, and decent management. Left my jacket and car keys there one weekend but they took care of my stuff and were really flexible when helping me get my stuff back.

Mcdonald’s has a more interesting music choice than this place. The ‘bartenders’ seem to hate their lives and were unnecessarily rude to me and my male friends, but perfectly fine towards our female friends. You’d sooner catch me drinking alone under a bridge than coming back here.

The door team here really let the place down, they had a really bad attitude on the door to my cousin and I and started nit picking at what my cousin was wearing as an excuse not to let him in. No it wasn’t sports wear before I get a reply about that , it was a linen shirt they didn’t like for some unknown reason! We didn’t debate it and just took it on the chin and left. Needless to say Hitchin has a lot of other places to offer and enjoyed our night there with only positive vibes. Establishments really need to be more careful who they put on the door these days. Customer service and smiles go a long way to having a good vibe about the place. I won’t be back unless I get a reply to this review inviting me as I understand maybe that door man doesn’t represent the club.

OK, so it’s not a posh London club and the toilet might run out of paper etc etc, but the vibe is chilled, the music is really good and you don’t pay to get in. Old school dance music is brilliant for us ‘slightly older’ clubbers. We actually had the best unexpected night in there. We got to dance, have fun, grab a few drinks. What more can you want?!

Just a few gay guys visiting from America after a family reunion trying to find a post game bar. The doormen targeted us and wouldn't let us go in with a light jacket when plenty of young girls walked by us with puffer jackets on. My boyfriend was eventually let in to go to the bathroom and when we wanted to leave they wouldn't let us find him. I put my jacket in the corner and went to find him and was followed into the bathroom by the doormen. They started yelling at us, grabbed us by the collar, and said to get out immediately. We told the guy on door in the front and he agreed, it seemed targeted. Homophobia in the outskirts of London is not surprising but I ask that you don't grace this "business" with your presence after this.

I guess at 50 I'm going to have a different experience to younger people, it was ok, was there on a Christmas do and the music wasn't really my cup of tea. The dj was a bit erratic with his choice of tunes and I got told of for putting my flat cap back on.... heaven forbid.

When you have the right DJ place is packed doesn't suit playing house rap or hip hop. Most other clubs in hitchin have gone down this route and are now empty. This place used to be packed every weekend with a mixed aged crowd dancing from everything from abba to wham to take that , Unfortunately like many clubs the speakeasy excludes the older generation who have a lot more disposable income. Have a 70s 80s 90s night once a month and advertise it on your website. Absolutely nothing on your web page mentioning upcoming events.

Be careful when you have had a few. My mate ordered two vodka lemonades and we got two sparkling waters. When he went back they said it was vodka and fizzy water as they had run out of lemonade, then made him two new vodka lemonades despite there being no lemonade.
