Visited last weekend with my girlfriend who needed some new walking boots but had some specific requirements and needs to be met. We were served by Matt and he was just what we needed, really listened to her needs and adapted his selections and provided many options, listening to feedback and adjusting his advice. No selling, no direction to brands, just absolutely personalised solutions and showed incredible knowledge. Just what we needed and very glad to have been served by Matt!

Just to share..... I popped into my local Go Outdoors store in Milton Keynes today and waited patiently in the cue near the checkout until it was my turn to pay. As I approached the checkout, the assistant took payment from another customer, then glanced at me as I was then approaching the counter, and then turned the other way and just walked off! How rude! and what Crap Customer Service! (Has clearly never had any CS training). I then had to re-join the other cue and wait again as there was now only one till open (the Chinese lady on this 2nd till was very pleasant and did a good job). However, I would strongly suggest that the store Manager (Sean) give the first assistant (in big red jumper) some basic CS training. Very disappointing. experience!

I am giving a five star review for an employee named Josh. The other day, I came in looking for suitable footwear and coats for an Iceland trip. Josh knew what he was talking about when it came to the best options. He carries a lot of knowledge about the products that Go Outdoors sells. Overall, he is a very friendly employee. Anytime I come in, I look to checkout with him. Thank you Josh.

Absolutely horrid to experience in this store todayβs we drove twenty five miles to get my daughter some bits for her pony. When we arrived they had the βNaylorsβ section cordoned off due to a stock take however nobody was in there doing anything. I asked a tall employee (who seemed to be a manager) if it was ok to pick up some items and he said it was fine so we carried on shopping. We just could not breathe or relax from this point forwards. First we had a young man follow us who then piped up that he would need to check everything we picked up. That was fine and I said Iβd check in with him when we were done. We continued to try and shop. However then we encountered an extremely rude lady with long brown hair. She shouted at the top of her voice from the other side of store (on her walkie talkie) that she was watching two people shopping in Naylors, like we were some kind of shoplifting criminals. Several people turned and looked at me and my daughter! Then to add insult to injury she followed us around Naylors telling us she needed to know exactly what we picked up and from where and needed to count what weβd selected. This would have been fine if sheβd bothered to ask nicely. She was very rude and abrasive and in the end I just abandoned my basket and left with my daughter as it was becoming humiliating and I was tired of this ladyβs attitude. Iβve never felt like such an inconvenience in my life! Firstly why on earth are they doing stock takes on Black Friday weekend during opening hours? Secondly, do customers not matter any more? Is our custom really that undervalued that we need to be humiliated, shouted about and followed during a visit like criminals? The only nice guy was the tall chap. The lady had a huge chip on her shoulder and we took the brunt of it. My child is 11yo!! Really poor form.

Popped in looking for a waterproof coat that packs into itself for cycling. The store is genuinely well stocked β plenty of great brands and options across every department. Unfortunately, customer service seems to have packed itself away too. Went upstairs to the bike section, only to be sent back downstairs where a member of staff pointed vaguely at a wall of hundreds of coats and then disappeared. Faced with a forest of jackets and no help at all, I turned around and left. Customer service should be offered, not requested. Great brands, well stocked, but uninterested staff limit sales.

Must be this stores appraisal time and pay review. 2 members of staff clearly not happy with the result. Don't discuss individuals pay rates with other members of staff especially if customers can hear you. Ruined my shopping experience so I left.

Some staff members are nice and some are really awful and immature. Some managers know how to handle customers and some don't. I brought two pairs of shoes, tested them in a sink and they were not waterproof. Staff members are pin-pricking shoes for a joke and think it's funny to waste people's time. Brought both pairs back one after the other and the staff were nice and easygoing. I didn't realize they had a customer toilet in store so I asked a male senior staff member if I could test these out in your sink to make sure they are waterproof, he said yes. They were not waterproof. I came out of the toilet and a female supervisor with blonde hair said what are you doing with the shoes in the toilet? I explained I am testing them. She had a go at me and said I wasn't allowed to do that. I said well another staff member said I could. She said we can't allow that. She said the other shoes you returned are wet we need those to be dry for other customers. I explained that all these shoes are faulty, they should be waterproof and they are not, and they should not be going back on the shelf for other customers. She said she didn't want me to test the shoes in her store anymore. I asked her not to have a go at me because I did ask before testing them and I was told I could. I advised her to liaise with the staff member that said I could because it was not my fault. I said she should apologize for the shoes not being waterproof. She turned her back on me as said that and didn't apologize for the hassle I went through. She also had a go at me because other staff members didn't hear me when I said these shoes have been tested and they are faulty. The shoes have been returned as a normal return and not as faulty. I went through all shoes and told her where they were leaking. She didn't take any note of the leaks. She more than likely dried the shoes out and put them back on the shelf. If the boxes have watermarks on them, they are the ones that I've tested and they are faulty (Scarpas and Haglofs) shoes that are expensive and should be waterproof. Can't remember what date this was but happened in a few hours.

This morningβs visit to GO Outdoors was an absolute joy. Early morning meant not too busy and I was able to get my boots, trousers and socks very easily and quickly. Special mention to Emily-Grace who made the experience such a pleasure.

Friendly staff and great customer service. Had to return a broken table that I received which was ordered online, the staff happily accepted it and refunded my money back to my card, very easy and simple process. Loads of options of outdoor clothing which I totally love. Once of my favourite stores.

Went in yesterday on the way back from visiting a friend. Can not express how helpful the gentleman was behind the fishing counter and his colleague who helped out with my membership card. Think he worked in bikes but I maybe wrong. Brought some Tracker joggers. Again helpful and polite and the store is extremely well stocked and tidy Again thankyou for the excellent customer experience
