   Rude staff and extremely poor customer service. I visited last night with my family and ordered three doner meals with flaming fries. Unfortunately, we were first served oily fries with no peri peri seasoning. After informing the staff, they replaced the fries, but again they were served without any seasoning. When we raised the issue once more, they put an excessive amount of peri peri powder on the fries, making them inedible. When we questioned the staff about the repeated mistakes, they were rude and unprofessional. The manager who was tall and slim also made racially inappropriate remarks towards us, which was completely unacceptable, even he was saying that to complaint anywhere nothing will happen to him. When we spent this much time type of money in these restaurants they should have good customer service and professional managers.

   I visited German Doner today with a friend, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing due to poor customer service. We noticed they now have self-order machines, which weren’t there during our last visit. We placed our order through the machine and attempted to pay. My American Express card didn’t work, so my friend paid using his card. The payment was successfully deducted from his account, yet the machine didn’t show any confirmation of the order. We approached the staff to explain the issue, and a lady—possibly the manager—came to assist. However, her attitude was far from helpful. Instead of checking the machine or verifying the transaction in their system, she immediately went to review the CCTV footage, as if we were trying to claim food without paying. We even showed her the recent transaction from my friend’s bank account, clearly marked as completed, but she insisted the system showed “three lines,” which she claimed meant the payment hadn’t gone through. She advised us to either wait three days for a refund or call the bank ourselves—something that felt unreasonable, given the issue appeared to be with their payment system. At no point did she make a genuine effort to resolve the problem on the spot. In the end, we had to pay again just to get our food. The only reason we went back was because we’ve enjoyed their food in the past—it’s usually good. However, today’s experience left us feeling frustrated and unappreciated as customers. Good food should be matched with good service, and unfortunately, this visit fell short.

   One of the best(and only on in Reading) German Doner kabab places I have been too. To be precise, quality and quantity in a cost effective way. I mostly take the doner gym box and I would say they are very generous in meat portion as well as the veggie.

   A little amount of Donar kebab, I called to speak to a manager in Reading branch German doner I spoke to someone and asked for the manager but she said I can get the manager to call you back, I gave my number but no call back! Find it very rude! I will never be ordering from these guys ever again! Very unfair in how much meat they put in the kebab, rip offs! Photo is attached I order 2 of these and both had that much meat in them, doner and gyros are give much more for the money.

   Are the kebabs supposed to be served cold?? I’ve had about 5 different orders now and each one was stone cold. I’ve tracked my deliveries each time and none of them have been delayed nor far away from my home. The kebabs are awesome but I want a warm one!!! It seems like I’m being sent kebabs made earlier in the day which haven’t been bought.

   I love the service in this restaurant. The staff is always super nice and helpful and the food is ready in few minutes. I used to come here regularly when I lived in Reading and now I returned when I came back for holiday. The kebabs are always big and if you get to finish one then you're probably going to be full, which I really love. The sauces are good and the menu/box is a really big portion. The fries are always great! Now they also have a pink coconut infused bread which they said it's a bit smaller than the regular normal one but I could barely see the difference. Super recommended!

   Ordered from this place last night for dinner. And was excited to try it for the first time but unfortunately mine doner didn’t come with any sauce which was mentioned on the ubereats info when i ordered it .. the doner i choose in the info it says this one comes with 3sauces but it didn’t come with any sauce at all and was a bit disppointed and was so dry :( i did put 3sauce in my list before but when i saw the info on the doner i choose it says the doner comes with 3special sauce so i delete my sauce from the list as obviously if it already comes with the doner why should i buy extras as i’m not gonna have 6sauces for one doner ughh either the info is wrong or they forgot to put sauce in my bag :( it’s okay mistake can happens but please if it doesn’t come with the sauce remove the info on ubereats as it says it does come with the doner. Overall it was good because it was so dry without the sauce i had to make sauce myself mixing spicy chilli sauce and mayo together. Also i bought that cheesy fries which i paid £2.99 lol at the portion it was little portion and 1-2 little drops of cheese on the fries. I think for that portion it’s unacceptable to charge £2.99 because u can get the fries for £1 or £1.99 with big portion somewhere else. So i would recon to not buy fries from this place but try the doner and make sure u get the sauce for better taste maybe.

   Friendly staff, easy access near Reading Station and bus stops. This premise has good simple comfort food. Drinks come in cans. Good portion. Overall very good.
