Been coming here for years, ordered their prawn curry (I tried this dish in a different Itsu and was looking forward to it but was left deeply disappointed). There was barely any sauce, it was too thick, the rice was hot but the prawns were super cold and there was far too much coriander. Didn't eat 1/4 of before I decided to give up, complete waste of money and made me not want to eat there again.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently visited Itsu in Reading and came away impressed though not unconditionally wowed. The food hit the mark with its fresh, flavourful charismatic vibrant food and sushi to hearty rice and noodle bowls. I opted for a Thai chicken rice bowl that was both tasty and health-conscious. The staff were warm, quick, and professional, which made the whole experience feel smooth and welcoming. A couple of small drawbacks in the form of my hot meal came in a cardboard container even for eating in which felt a bit underwhelming compared to proper bowls. And while the ambience was pleasant, the lack of some service finishing touches (napkins, plating, tableware heft) slightly toned down the experience. Also having just discovered most of the ingredients contains ALCOHOL (I don’t consume Alcohol) including their sauces , which I was not aware of until today. Nonetheless, these are minor quibbles in an otherwise very good outing.

I recently visited Itsu, a Japanese restaurant located on Broad Street in Reading, and had an exceptional dining experience. As someone trying Japanese cuisine for the first time, I was thoroughly impressed. We ordered the Veggie Dragon Balls and Korean Stir Fry Noodles, both of which were delicious and beautifully presented. The ambience of the eatery was inviting and comfortable, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed meal. The service was outstanding; the staff were friendly and attentive, offering excellent suggestions that truly enhanced our dining experience. The recommendations provided by our server were spot on, making our meal even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the quality of the sauces, particularly the Soy Sauce Teriyaki, which added a delightful flavor to the dishes. The attention to detail and the high quality of the ingredients used in the food were evident in every bite. Overall, our visit to Itsu was a memorable experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore Japanese cuisine. The combination of great food, superb service, and a pleasant atmosphere makes Itsu a must-visit restaurant in Reading.

It's a nice place for a stop, especially if you're in a rush. The food is good and served quickly. I feel it's slightly overpriced for the amount of food and the fact that you don't get it in a plate and there's no table service. The staff at the counter is friendly. There are some useful usb plugs at the tables.

Fancy healthy, affordable yet tasty meal? Look no further. Great selection of hot and cold dishes inspired by East Asian cuisine. Be it rice or noodle bowls, tasty soups or bao buns. Whole place is clean and tidy with always friendly staff and plenty of seating space. Walking distance from train station as well as central location to shopping mall is more than convenient.

Good value for money. Worth noting, everyday 30 minutes before closing all sushi plates available costs 50%.

Refreshing simple place with a fantastic selection of grub and drinks, plenty of seating upstairs but it is all high stools Which I found a little uncomfortable, but overall very good

Not today… I bought my fave Salmon Full House sushi (and desert )….Guys - it’s all falling apart ! Yes- I took it home carefully and supposed to enjoy my sushi after hard working day. But sushi was just was ruined straight after I’ve get it by my Japanese wooden sticks . I don’t know - or it’s rise , or new staff - but sushi was like loose rise ((((( Not good experience for £12 for one person. I don’t know - will I shop with you anymore !? Disappointed (( your regular customer

Popular chain selling sushi and oriental food eatery. Good corner location in central Reading, right opposite John Lewis on Broad Street, and with seating both upstairs & downstairs. USB charger ports at the table, free water from the cooler and a light and airy feel to the place. Sushi and noodle pots are fresh & simple, reasonably priced and as close to "healthy" fast food as you'll find on the high street.
