The food was disappointing—stringy chicken, overly salted, and heavy on MSG. Service was even worse. Upon arrival, the host seemed almost unhappy to see customers. One of our party declined a drink, yet staff tried to push one anyway. They brought the bill without us asking, and even charged for two extra items. Considering there were only three occupied tables, the inattentive service was surprising. The music CD kept skipping, and I had to request twice for it to be changed. The décor looks untouched for over 30 years—tired and dated. I won’t be returning, and I’m baffled by its high rating.

As we entered the restaurant, the decor wasn't any different from other chinese restaurant. But service was really good except mr.woo! He was grumpy and not comfortable to ask questions. However, I asked if they were able to steam vegetables and bean curd instead of stir fried. He said no! strange... so I had the stir fried ones. bean curd was oily and soggy sponge, didn't enjoy at all. my husband liked curry dish. my soda water was room temperature, and no ice. sad place liked sad dish.

Food was great, but the service was a bit haphazard. The dishes came out one at a time, and so some were waiting to start eating. The starters were expensive too. We were a large group of 15 people, which may have been a problem for them.

We were looking forward to a nice Chinese takeaway for our Saturday night treat. Called at 18.30 advised it would be between and hour and an hour an a half, I said not a problem. At 20.15 we called to ask where our food was and were told it was just leaving and would be with us in 5 minutes well 15 minutes later I called again to be told hasn’t it arrived hmmm so I cancelled it. Thanks Mr Woo for ruining my Saturday night

My son rang up just a few hours before we wanted to go for a meal and we were offered 2 suitable times. The service was excellent. Menus were brought to us straight away as our table was ready for us. We ordered drinks and food which came quickly and piping hot. The food was delicious and although we could finish all we ordered we were offered take home boxes. Couldn't ask for anything more. Great place.

Our first visit, first of all the food was very nice no complaints there. But in my opinion the service was poor. SeveraI communications with the waitress were taken with a nod of the head and then ignored. The bill came to the table when we were still waiting for a desert.

Tried Mr Woo a few times now as an alternative to Golden Hill. They deliver which is good, although delivery is 90 mins plus so you need to be prepared to wait but it’s always warm. As far as Cantonese food goes it’s good, they also do some Thai options too so lots of choice. Would use again, but would be amazing if they opened up a closer branch.

First time eating from this take away. Food was ready in a great time. But unfortunately I will not be eating from here again, as I bit into a prawn ball there was a very large black hair stuck and cooked inside, made me physically sick. As this is a time to be more clean I believe this is not being taken seriously and needs a deep clean and make sure all staff are wearing hair nets I do have photos.
