   I had both dinner and breakfast here as I am the hotel guest. The breakfast was nice, but the dinner wasn’t good enough for its price.

   Oh dear: this has to be a rare one star from me. With the cost we were charged here, the food was pretty poor. The vegan dish was not tasty, and did not have the ingredients it was advertised to have. The starter was dry and horrible. The waitress was helpful, while her manager was a little more rushing: one of us did not finish our food, and he took her dish away.

   Ate dinner here twice and breakfast 4 times whilst at the hotel -distinctly average. Staff generally very nice but really slow service, and lots of the menu habitually cooked to death. Never seen fried eggs before that actually stayed as firm flat discs if you picked them up - would be good if they want to introduce some sort of clay shooting in the grounds. Glimmers of greatness - lamb chops and chicken tikka were surprisingly good. Bar very unimpressive, no snacks, only pale ale off one night, and nothing from any of the several awesome local breweries.

   Quite frankly the worst meal out I’ve ever had. Staff didn’t take our order until we nagged. Two out of six main meals were delivered before the starters with no explanation given until we complained. The two with their mains had finished eating by the time the other four main meals arrived after several rounds of nagging. Staff arguing with us when we point out the poor service. Staff blaming each other. The meal it’s self was awful. Fish and chips were flavourless oily mush. After dinner we were ignored for more than an hour - no one came to ask if we wanted more drinks or the bill. Don’t waste your time or your calories eating here. Genuinely the worst experience I’ve ever had. Couldn’t have been worse if they’d have been trying.
