I've been a fan since I moved locally to Qumin a few years ago. They always serve great food and they're always caring and looking after their customers too. The quality of food is great and I think the value for money is spot on.
Fifth time having a takeaway from Qumin, perfect yet again. 100% consistent... We have just had dinner with some very selective (picky and demanding) friends (Tony M). I have been in the catering industry for most of my life and we didn't have review platforms then, so had to rely on our customers calling us to say thanks. A massive thank you to the team - all of our food was beautiful (especially the king prawn tikka masala / chicken shashlik / onion bhaji) Superb guys, keep it up...
This is a pretty consistently good takeaway for us. Lots of nice vegetarian options! If you cook your own rice it's very good value for money. We tend to walk to pick it up and they always seem to be pretty quick and friendly.
My mum accidentally ordered food from here and paid online, we live in a completely different town about 2 hours away. I obviously understand that it is waste of food but I have worked in hospitality before and no matter what circumstance a refund should be given to the customer. He told us we could either come and get the food (two hours away ) or do nothing which is ridiculous! Wanted to check out who we had lost £40 from and looked at the reviews and you can just tell how horrible to food sounds, customer service was horrible! YUCK! Don’t go here!
I ordered food 17.25 it's 18.55 and the food is still not there, and on the phone someone told me that the delivery will be in 40 minutes.please don't lie to your customers.
Best Indian food in the area, in fact anywhere i have been so far, and I've been around......lovely curries but be aware they are hot, the madras is approx. as hot as anyone else's vindaloo, and absolutely lovely, regular customer, still enjoying the great food, not enough stars available, so 5 it is, Thank you.
If I could give 0 stars, I would. The food was absolutely disgusting. We ordered tandoori chicken, which was good, alongside garlic naan and butter chicken (we said balti chicken on the phone but ended up getting butter chicken). The butter chicken was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! IT IS LIKE THEY ADDED 100 GRAMS OF SUGAR TO THE CURRY AFTER MAKING IT. I could not eat the curry as a result of the sweetness and had to throw it away. Service was appalling too. We called them over the phone to ask for a refund or for a replacement balti chicken curry without the sugar. They refused to do so. WORST TAKEAWAY EXPERIENCE EVER AND THE WORST TAKEAWAY SHOP IN READING. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Totally the best takeaway in Caversham / Reading. Consistently good. Great service also. Very reasonable prices. Highly recommended. I’ve been coming here 20 years plus. Won’t go elsewhere.
