   We had such a lovely experience evening. The food was absolutely delicious — full of flavour and beautifully presented. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the whole visit feel relaxed and enjoyable. We really appreciated the great service and the cosy atmosphere.    Had a wonderful dinner with my family at Spitiko on Prospect Street. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.    We recently had a good experience at Spitiko Greek Restaurant in Reading. We visited on a Tuesday specifically to take advantage of their popular 2-for-1 main course promotion (where the cheaper main is free), which offers genuinely excellent value. The dining room was understandably packed due to the promotion, and this heavily impacted the service speed. Our starters took a while to arrive, and the main dishes followed almost an hour after ordering. We were fine since we had starters, but other diners should be aware of this potential wait time when visiting on a Tuesday. Despite the delay, the food was absolutely great. The portions are massive, providing fantastic value for money, even if the dishes are priced a little higher than average—they are absolutely worth it given the quantity and quality. The only minor area for improvement was the wine selection; the offer felt quite limited, and we found that the staff lacked deep knowledge regarding the available wines. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere was friendly, and the quality of the cooking shines through. We will certainly be back, but on a Tuesday, we'll make sure to settle in and be ready for a leisurely evening!

   A very reliable independent local restaurant with something for everyone! Great quality and full of flavour food (yes it's as delicious as it looks!), friendly and genuine service and a fabulous setting. The recent refurbishment has transformed the restaurant into a venue - great for a meal for two, family meal/celebration or meal with a larger group/party.

   What an outstanding find! On a busy road across the river from Reading, we found this lovely Greek gem! Authentic atmosphere, sensible pricing, and of course incredible food! Go for the tasting Meze sharing menus for best range of dishes. A very special thanks to Katie who went above and beyond to make our anniversary dinner so special!

   I've been to this restaurant 3 times over the past few years and can't say I've ever had a meal to write home about. The last time we didn't want anything too big, so just had some meze starters. They lacked freshness and flavour. The okra was so overcooked I couldn't eat it and the mixed vegetables were way too oily. The best thing about it was the pitta and I can't say they could take credit for that. We are vegetarian so our options are limited, and maybe the meat and fish dishes are great, but can't comment. The manager seemed more interested on what was on his phone than the customers in the restaurant, leaving the young lady to do all the serving. I felt like we really wasted money that night.

   Great to enjoy Greek food that actually tastes Greek. Stifado beef was delicious. My wife said the moussaka was one of the best she has had. Wine was exceptionally good. Service was attentive and friendly.

   While in the area on business and having holidays to Greece cancelled multiple times, it was nice to see this restaurant. Later that evening I popped in with a work collegue and had a Halloumi cheese starter with salad and pitta, followed by a mixed Pork Slouvaki and Cypriot Sheftalia for main which also came with a Greek Salad and flavoursome aromatic rice. What could I say.... Absolutely awsome in flavour, texture and quantity. All washed down with ΑΛΦΑ beer
