   I don’t even know where to start with The Big Fish, but I’ll try. First off, the name had me hopeful—thought I was walking into a place that knew what it was doing. Turns out, the only thing “big” about this place is the disappointment. My order looked like it lost a fight on the way to the bag. The chips were somehow both soggy and hard, which I didn’t even know was possible. The fish? Let’s just say if that thing ever saw the ocean, it must’ve blocked it out as a traumatic memory. Greasy, bland, and with a texture that made me question every decision that led me there. Service wasn’t much better. I stood at the counter for a good few minutes while the staff argued in the back about who was supposed to clean the fryer. When someone finally decided to acknowledge my existence, they handed me my food like it was radioactive. If you’re hungry, you’d be better off eating literally anything else—dry cereal, two-day-old toast, maybe even the menu itself. At least those options won’t leave you wondering if you’ve just been pranked. Save your money, your time, and your tastebuds. The Big Fish is a big nope.

   Just visited The Big Fish at Kegworth. I can’t remember the last time I had such nice fish and chips. Cooked to perfection, a fair price and Just the right amount, served by very friendly, polite staff. I’m very happy to recommend you and will be visit you again. Thank you.

   The food here us BANGIN, I am a regular here almost everyday for my lunch and I can honestly say I have tried most things Kebabs are always on point and the portions are so big I dont need to eat again that day Pizzas are really nice too My favourite item is the Fish Butty proper thick fish, the only thing it needs is Tartare sauce but is 100 x better then maccies fillet o fish Currently hooked on chicken platter Chips are also good but im never really too fussed about chips (Chips are Chips)

   One of the best pizzas, the chips were a very generous portion. Delicious. All of the family enjoyed their meal. Quite inexpensive so overall would recommend.

   Called in late after driving up from Essex for a meeting, called in and so glad we did , young lady serving was charming and the food was lovely and so hot ( makes a change from our local places ) . Thanks for the extras too .

   The sign outside is probably the nicest thing . Makes it look respectable and nice . When in fact it is well over priced and tastes terrible . Honestly wouldn't even feed it my dog . I walked in 3 staff no customers and it still took them 5 mins to stop there convo and ask what I wanted

   Very disappointing. Fish has a strange spongey texture and foul after taste. Cat won't even eat it and he eats rats! The fish was almost a perfect shape like you buy from the frozen Isle certainly not fresh at all. Chips are soggy Chicken nuggets sooo cheap and nasty All went in the bin. Will not be ordering again..ever.

   The food is great and the portions are MASSIVE. We got a chicken kebab and a fish kebab (that wasn't on the menu, but they made it for us anyway), a small chips and a curry sauce. All the food was amazing. The salad and sauces were fresh, plentiful and really tasty. The chicken was really tender and flavoursome. Sorry no photos was too hungry and the food was too good. Will definitely be going back to try the fish!! Maybe they have new owners but I didn't see any basis for the bad reviews on Google.
