We used to go near the restaurant for days but never considered eating there; finally, we decided to have dinner on Friday last week; fortunately, they had a table open, so we went there with lower hopes... We ordered the King Prawn Butterfly (a must-try), sweet lassie (also a must-try), garlic naan, Tandoori chicken sauce, and kufta Kachila, we were so satisfied with dishes and will be visiting again for sure..

A very great restaurant in my opinion. As a party of one, I'm treated no different than any other table. I had chicken tikka, followed by chicken Muli (not pictured). The staff don't bother you too much like other restaurants do, but are still attentive to guests. There was a perfect amount of time between courses. Not too little that you're still full from your starter, but not so long that you get bored. I just sat for a bit before paging, because I didn't want to leave, and I didn't feel like I was being pushed out, which was nice, as some restaurants just want to get you out as soon as possible. Families seem to like it here, of all ages too. Would recommend, and have recommended.

Very poor service, cannot pour wine, spilt it on the table, cannot take orders correctly, ended up with the wrong meal. Had to cook another one, forgot two lots of rice. Didn't clear tables between courses, had to move some dirty plates, bowls etc to another table to make enough room. Nice people and good food, but no idea how to look after customers or how to run a restaurant !!

We had an very pleasant experience recently to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday. Her celebration meal was on the house and the staff service was courteous and prompt. The manager is extremely helpful and welcoming.

Had a couple of take-aways from here and the food is excellent. Great service from polite waiters who know the menu. A bit more expensive than the restaurant it replaced, with the whole decor being refurbished. No connection to the previous owners and all of the staff, including chefs, are new to the place. Definitely a restaurant I'll be returning to (either to eat in or for a take-away) frequently. :o) The restaurant has recently reopened, under the same management after being closed for a few months No one else in the place tonight whilst I was waiting for a take-away but, then again, England are playing Wales tonight in the world cup so it's quiet everywhere except for the bars!

Dinner for two My wife and I really enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The service was friendly and the food above average for a high street Indian restaurant. We had Chicken Karai and Chicken tamarind and both dishes were very good. We also had a peshwari naan bread which was the best we’d ever had. If you happen to be in Portswood and fancy a curry, then I would definitely recommend this place.
