Love this place! Always amazing flavours and great pricing. My go to is the mogo hoho, Hakka noodles with the somosa chaat (if feeling extra hungry will get the chilli paneer) the heat level is just right too. Easy to understand why this is a long standing restaurant

Feels like being in a dhaba more than a restaurant with all the noise around. Ordered a lot of our favourite dishes to snack on as a group. Bhel Puri was amazing, Papdi Chaat was good too, the Schezuan Noodles however was a miss. Also, the Paneer Chilli was a bit too salty so we couldnβt eat much of it. Iβd come back or do a takeaway for the bhel puri at least.

Authentic Indian food isnβt just about heat; itβs about a symphony of flavors. The harmonious blend of spices like cumin, coriander, turmeric, and cardamom creates layers of taste that dance on the palate. Each dish is carefully balanced to ensure that the spices enhance, rather than overpower, the natural flavors of the ingredients.

Fantastic quality, great flavours, reasonably priced. Prompt service and a very good variety of Indian Street Food. When asking for milder versions of dishes, it was a bit worrying that everything is pre-made and so could not be accommodated- query how fresh the dishes are. Limited seating area but a great pure vegetarian find.

Awesome coffee.. One of the best Indian Coffee in Reading, I can say. Also, good collection of Indian sweets and 'chat' varieties. The Ginger tea is nice too, and the Kachori Dal is otherworldly stuff. Will visit many times again! :)

I think it's part of the Mercure George Hotel and yet it's tucked away in a separate side building. It's fairly dark inside but sufficiently clean. You have to place your order at the till and collect the cutlery, napkin, water jug and glass from the side counter. The food is brought to your table when ready. The menu is mostly popular street food dishes which is authentic and flavoursome. They also provide a takeaway service. There is a selection of prepacked snacks and sweets available for takeaway. Sometimes they have Indian Bollywood music playing in the background but it lacks the ambience and a warm welcome from the staff. The price is reasonable. Bhel Puri House is within easy access from the Oracle.

Food is decent. Tastes like Indian street food. Quantity is good. Where it lacks is service. Didn't understand the way they serve. They served the dish to our tables, but no cutlery. We had to pick cutlery from the corner. Either you serve at the table or make it self-service. Falooda was good. Didn't feel welcome by their service.

Perfect and delicious food. Well the guy on the till was not too friendly and he was very rude and was not managing the tables properly. Anyhow we managed to get one as it was already vacant and got with the help of one Chinese lady who was looking after tables. She was very kind and served us very well. Apart from pictures took the chilli paneer as well and enjoyed it as it got an authentic taste. Note: I would have given five if that Chinese lady was the first to meet as she was managing every table very nicely.

Lovely place for some light bites. Amazing Indian snacks - can be customised as per your taste (more or less spicy). Lots of veg options. They've recently introduced vegan options too both in snacks and desserts. Worth trying. Kid friendly - lovely smoothies and shakes.
