   Absolutely astonishing I can not believe it my friends family’s restaurant and it definitely lives up to there name top chef the beef is cooked to perfection the salt and chilli chips are to die for and the sweet chilli sauce with the beef I’ve never experienced sauce like this before what a place amazing people I would vote this Chinese of the year and amazingly delivered in 15 minutes

   Ordered for collection, spent £36 for two people. Food was ready on time, very hot and fresh when picked up. Big portions and good value overall. Only downside was the crispy shredded beef, which was a little chewy and the sauce a little watery. Still tasty though, and we’d order again.

   i checked the food star rating of the local Chinese takeaways. this was the only one i found with a 5* rating. we ordered for the first time. the order was easy, the food arrived on time as stated, the price was very fair but the food.... some of the best we have ever had, it was absolutely fantastic! this will now be the only place we have food from.

   Disappointed!! Ordered a takeaway, was charged £4 over what the takeaway menu in front of us said and when the food arrived it was wrong we got prawn toast instead of sweet n sour chicken balls ( they sent the sauce though ) Rang up to tell them and we overheard someone in the background accusing us of lying, they did send us some chicken balls and it was the same driver, he had the original delivery order ticket which clearly stated chicken balls and no prawn toast which we showed him we had! The food overall was nice, but really not happy being accused of lying or being over charged !!!

   We are a long standing customer having when ordering a delivery tonight we were told it would be less than 45 mins. When that time past and I called back I was told it would be another 20mins. When I challenged this the person on the phone lied to me about what time I rang even though my phone proved it and then said “do you want it or not”. Shameful attitude to customer. Considering when we ordered a year ago they gave us a bag of twigs to my wife’s horror when I got home. They really . don’t care about your custom, only nice when it goes well but when they are at fault they don’t care about your business. Appalling attitude Cancelled order and lost an hour and had to order food elsewhere. Will go back to our original Chinese Peony or the one in Chester Green

   Excellent food and service. My fave is the chicken chow mein (no veg). Our family loves a good chicken ball, hehe. Would rec to all my friends and family. YUM!

   Got the price over the phone £27.7 for 3 meals, instantly thought we have menu in front of us that’s not priced right. £24.7 was what it calculated up to, we then phoned back just to say “not same price but not sure if have old menu so please can you send a new one with our order”. Food delivered and on this “new” menu, everything was exact same price as the one we already had, to which delivery driver confirmed it was the same & also couldn’t understand the extra. Kim had hand written on the menu, crossing out a price stated and added on the extra. It was very apparent that she was pocketing the extra from the order. Absolutely disgusting, we had the same issue few months and challenged her and she becomes very defensive & now this. We always assumed she was the owner, until tonight when delivery driver confirmed she actually is not the owner at all & also witnessed this numerous times. Such a shame as food always nice but this “Kim” needs to be sacked, iv walked into shop to hear her scream at staff before it makes you feel so uncomfortable. I hope this gets back to the genuine owner so the relevant action can be taken.

   I'm blessed that I live close to the best Chinese takeaway in Derby. If I ever order from elsewhere, I'm left unimpressed whereas Top Chef always hits the mark. Consistently super-tasty food and sometimes delivered spookily quickly. I would give six stars out of five if I could.
