   In January 2025 Joy moved her Kitchen from the Antrobus House Hotel to her new restaurant "Siam Smile Streetfood Café", at 35 High Street, Amesbury, and is thriving! The food is delicious, the service excellent and the atmosphere buzzing. It's not expensive - a modest 2-course meal, followed by ice cream from a wide choice of exotic flavours, and a soft drink came in at £22.50 and it was perfect! The Facebook page is "Siamsmile Asian Street Food". Enjoy!

   Welcoming authentic Thai restaurant . We were lucky to fall on this amazing local gem . All the food is lovingly prepared from scratch with a street vibe . Traditional Thai wooden tables and chairs and eclectic ornaments. My husband said it was the best Green Thai curry he’d ever eaten with just the right balance of aromatic spice and heat . I had the Pad Thai which came with the chillies and crushed peanuts to the side . Perfect for me as I’m a chilli and heat wimp. Joy stopped to enthusiastically chat about Thai and other cuisines . A rare gem of a restaurant that genuinely wants to serve great street style food . My advice is to book so you won’t be disappointed. .

   Found an absolute gem!!! From the outside it doesn’t look anything special, but when you walk in, it’s got a beautiful Thai feel … the quality of the handcrafted (heavy, solid)) wooden tables and chairs.. the decor, flowers, Buddhas.. it FEELS authentic! A lovely experience, topped only by the quality of the food - YUMMY! We tried between us 4 starters and 4 Main’s (group of 3 adults & 1 child) the quality of every dish was perfect! Full of flavour! Served nice and hot! Our server Claudio was extremely friendly - went above and beyond on everything. We also tried the bubble tea from the bubble tea shop next door (linked business I think?!) we will definitely be coming back here again :) and HIGHLY recommend!! I haven’t been to such a wonderful Thai restaurant in a long time. Delicious! Full bellies all around :) thank you Claudio :)

   OMG that was so amazing. Brilliant service, brilliant food and amazing presentation. The lady looking after us was so nice and was talking to us about other things to do in the area. We are from Western Australia and this place has produced the BEST THAI FOOD we have ever had. Thank you so much and a big well done to their new chef.

   I went there as a lone diner and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff made me welcome with just the right amount of communication so I didn't feel like I was sticking out like a sore thumb (always a concern when dining alone!). They have a nice range of Thai beers, which got things off to a good start. The menu has lots to choose from and is well laid out. The food was amazing! I had soup followed by a lovely sweet and sour chicken dish which was well seasoned and packed with flavour. Whilst I wasn't going to have a pud, they offered me New Forest Ice creams.... I couldn't say no! Perfect evening meal for the solo business traveller!!

   My wife and I recently dined at Siam Smile restaurant and we were blown away by the exceptional quality of the food, service, and atmosphere. The menu offered a diverse selection of Thai dishes, each expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The standout for me was the Panang Curry, which was cooked to perfection. The service was top-notch, with the owner Joy being attentive and hugely knowledgeable about the menu. To top it off, the decor was elegant and inviting. I highly recommend Siam Smile restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic Thai dining experience."

   Out of all the places I have visited, this is probably the worst experience I have ever had. We knew that the place wasn't cheap from the beginning - £5 for a small bowl of rice is a laughable and between £12-15 for a curry and your looking at around £20 for a main. We were prepared to pay these prices but the food itself and portion size was disappointing. We ordered the spare ribs, plain noodles, panang chicken, beef massaman along with jasmine rice. The ribs were OK but nothing special. The panang chicken lacked flavour, the rice was hard (felt like it could have been yesterday's rice) and the carrots used in the beef massaman tasted as if they had gone off. We brought this up with the owner who had a word with the cook who said that there was nothing wrong with the carrots. In the most places I have been to, they would have apologised and offered a replacement dish but not here. My wife went on and ate the food bar the carrots. When the bill came, we brought up the fact that we were not happy with the massaman and ended up having an argument with the owner. At the end of the day, they deducted £6 off the bill (the curry was charged for at £15). Would not go back again - the food here is very average. Our favourite Thai (Ting Tong Thai) is 100 times better - both food and service.

   A very nice dining room and tasty food. The prices were quite reasonable and the staff were efficient and polite. The only thing that let down this venue for me was the slightly shabby toilet.
