   VILLAGE GRILL. WHAT HAS HAPPENED? STAFF ARE RUDE ON THE PHONE! And cant take instructions. Now we are expected to eat a half dressed steak kebab. Not enjoyable at all after after a hard long day at work. Order sent wrong TWICE! On 2 separate occasions.(but thought id give another chance 2 but it right. 2 SIMPLE STEAK KEBABS. REALLY DISAPPOINTED.We will not be ordering again!

   Food is nice but is over priced. Ate here a few times and had no problems. On second visit I observed the chap with white beard eat in the kitchen. Can say for certain that he washed his hands after but I wasn’t that fussed. About a tenner for a kebab, decent quality food but small portion sizes. Staff prefer to talk in their own language in your presence even though they can all speak English well enough. The last time I ordered I asked for no cabbage, got loads, phoned them to politely tell them and they tried to make out like I asked for cabbage an innocent enough mistake but the attitude means it’s a no from me in the future. Zero banter

   Took Large Chicken Tikka Donner Mixed Kebab with separate everything as mentioned in online with salad. what i got is 1 cup of source that unknown (may be mint) and small bag of salad (2 -3 variants ) when i start, all the salad, source was enough for half of kebab. in there online ordering, its not clear what we getting, what mean of everything. I feel nothing got.

   Ordered 5 burgers at Iftar time, came quickly however buns were burnt to the point of being rock solid and burgers were also burnt but undercooked. Seems like they were cooked in a hurry to get order out before fast opened. Also ordered a cheese and mushroom burger which had no mushrooms on it. Never ordering from this place again.

   I was working in Derby, was so hungry, ordered food from village grill. Horrible service, no hygiene at all, the chicken was burnt and old and smelt off. I believe was already cooked chicken he fried again. Did the same with chips. Long skin hairs on the chicken piece. If you can't be bothered to cook, close your shop!!! Please avoid them!! I've also ordered a burger, burger was ok!

   Barely edible. I tried this place because Steve’s in mickleover is so poor these days. Oh boy this is worse. The fish is dreadful, tough and tasteless, batter is rubbery. Chips don’t taste of anything at all. Over eight quid for this delight too, eurgh.

   Try some where else. Not good. Been here 3 times, first was decent. Just ordered Donna kebab and chips and was nice enough, nothing special. Ordered again with cheesy chips and mayo, got chips, no cheese and a pathetic squirt of mayo (to the point I think they were taking the p**s). The third time we ordered tonight and no mayo on the chips as requested , the cheese pizza looked like something you'd get for £1 from aldi. Kebab was decent again, but nothing special. Oh and the staff aren't very polite on the phone. Won't order from here again.

   Thoroughly disappointed yet again!! Ordered a kebab with mint sauce and an extra pot of hot chilli, no sauce on the kebab no sauce in pots, ordered cheesy chips, chips were freezing so cold the cheese didn't even melt! The kebab was freezing, meat was so tough I couldn't chew it. The burger was rock hard and bun was stale!! All inedible. went in the bin might as well have set fire to £20 a total waste of a treat night for my son's birthday!! I will NEVER use them again and if you don't want to waste your money you shouldn't either
