We called in today as we had dropped the pooch off at the local groomers. We had looked at the place on previous occasions but didn’t call in. Wish we had as the place is great. Spotlessly clean, amazing service and delicious food. We had the set breakfast which is 3 courses and was excellent. We’ll be back soon.
Thank you Team Bistro Max for making fantastic memories on our 24th Wedding Anniversary! Your whole experience from booking the table to paying the bill was great: you make us feel like family. We had the French bread and butter as an appetiser, then I had prawn cocktail and my wife had the Crab and avocado to start. Perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented, the fresh prawns, and creamy Mary rose sauce, were succulent, and tasty, & my wife said the crab was excellent. We then both had the fillet steak for mains, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had, perfectly cooked, epic skin on fries, salad was vibrant and tasty and the bernaise sauce,… well it was the awesome-sauce that just brought the whole thing together. I could have dipped chips and eaten that forever. Everything was perfectly seasoned, you just got stuck in, it was so good! Finished by squeezing in a Warm, Chocolate Brownie, with ice cream, the perfect end to the perfect meal Thank you so much Robin, Terri & Team, you are Awesome. ❤️
Exceptional Quality Food! Enjoyed a few meals here and it just gets better and better. The food quality is fantastic, the service is wonderful and it offers very good value for money lunch options. The croissants we had for breakfast were the best I've ever tasted, and I've tried a lot! lol.
We were visiting Tutbury, and stumbled across this lovely café. We only had drinks but even those were nice. The caramel latte is my favourite ☕ The staff were helpful and friendly. The toilets are on the left hand side of the café, and we're spacious and clean. I would recommend this café.
Absolutely exquisite food, amazing produce, and perfect service. We had amazing Hake and Cod cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back! This place is really classy with amazing attention to detail! Tutbury is so lucky!
Fabulous lunch, fish specials amazing, beautiful plaice. Fillet steak perfectly cooked, excellent sauce. Friendly and efficient service, lovely atmosphere.
Been for an evening meal and now breakfast. Both were brilliant. Food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Loved it and will go again. A very welcome addition to Tutbury.
Have been here three times (twice for breakfast and today for lunch). Every visit was fantastic freshly cooked food with very friendly & helpful staff. Today's lunch was Chilli Squid starter (shared) and Cod Loin on creamed leeks with sautéed potatoes and Beef Stroganof - everything was delicious & flavoursome. A little gem in Tutbury. We will be back.
Great food - the fish specials of squid starter and plaice main were terrific, as was the beef bourguignon.
What a meal! Absolutely fantastic and a lovely place - Robin and Terri have outdone themselves yet again - perfection!
