   I ordered a takeaway dinner for my family, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish! While I was waiting, I had a lovely and interesting chat with the staff – they were so friendly and welcoming. The food was prepared quickly, and it was incredibly fresh and delicious. I’m usually not a big fan of Indian food, but this meal completely changed my mind – it was amazing!

   Went on a wowcher deal, food was delicious and portions were big, service was also attentive Will definitely return next time we're in Derby Did return, with a wowcher deal that was valid but no longer sold so staff didn't want to give what we had paid for. Finally agreed, but begrudgingly and honestly you'd have thought I was trying to rob the place the way they kept checking what was on the deal they had offered. Ended up feeling very uncomfortable and so will avoid. It's not the only Indian restaurant in Derby so I'm sure I'll find another one......

   The service was great, chatted about the history of curry houses in the area we used to go to. Few more people going out again for currys would be good. Still, my brother's and I enjoyed a cobra, poppadoms, which were a bit soft, with usual pickles. I'd recommend the Desi Special. We all enjoyed the food and will likely be back again to this friendly, of Bangladeshi origins, curry house.

   We always order our takeaways from here, but thought we would give dining in a try. Needless to say we were not disappointed, all the curry’s were amazing and portion sizes very good. Service was brilliant, meals all arrived promptly by 2 lovely members of staff who were very attentive. Absolutely beautiful curry…would highly recommend. Will definitely be back very soon.

   Fed five hungry church pastors handsomely. Friendly service. 50% off mains on Monday evenings. We had different meals and each said theirs was delicious. I had Chicken Tikka Masala and was great. New owners. Try it.

   I honestly don't know where to even start with this restaurant. This is by far the most over priced restaurant I had the displeasure to eat at after coming to the UK. The price : quantity: quality is ridiculous. The food quality and quantity is not at par for what's being charged. I made a mistake by reading through the reviews only to realize most of them are english people who have no idea on how Indian curries actually are meant to be. We ordered a starter dish of lamb and also a lamb curry with chick peas as suggested by the very friendly server. Both the dishes were quite unsatisfying both in terms of quantity and quality to be as honest as possible. We left quite unsatisfied to say the least. Maybe it's a one time thing, but honestly I don't think so, given that the quantity was really really less for what's being charged. After supper I had to use the washroom, need I continue at what's waiting for me in the WC ?

   I have been more than impressed with the incredible flavours of the Chicken Briyani and Tandoori Chicken. Well priced, gastronomic delight and large generous portions. From today onwards, I will be a loyal customer to the Golden lamb and not to mention the incredible manners of the staff and owner . I am grateful that I was served with my favourite Indian dishes which are value for money.
