   I called yesterday to place a small order and the man on the phone said he didn’t have enough for collection that day. I told him it was for the following day and he said call back in the morning. I called back this morning and tried to place my order to be told that the order was too small. I was told I would need to call 10 minutes before I visit the shop later on today to place the order. I replied if we’d done that yesterday you wouldn’t have had enough to fulfil my order and he said only pre order for 50+ items. It was not good customer service on the phone and the gentleman came across quite rude. if I am making the effort to call and ask for an order to be fulfilled it is not asking too much for the shop to put this order aside until I collect later. I have always enjoyed the food at desi but I will not be going back. Plenty of other options in the area.

   One of the best places in Derby to grab delicious authentic Samoas! Highly recommended if you visit or live in Derby. The place is on Normanton Road. Been visiting for 15 years, no one can beat the taste! If driving, recommend parking a bit further away and walking to the store. E.g. Lidl (2.5 hours free parking) or the council car park just opposite of Lidl.

   Save your time/money/health and go to Shahenshah Sweet Centre across the road, or Krishnas Sweet Centre. Food was found covered in mould - owner didn’t see an issue and kept it displayed. Generally, the hygiene is very poor, and containing dairy smelt off and tasted sour. Fair to say my money will be spent elsewhere. If you have elderly relatives, please make them fully aware
