We ate here on a Sunday night (couldn’t get a reservation for Saturday and we saw a lot of people without reservations turned away on Sunday) and it was great. The staff are friendly and the food excellent and generous portions. Both food and drink are reasonably priced. The only slight downside is that they had all the windows open and where we were sitting there was a chilly draught.

Noticed a board outside advertising an Early Bird menu £13.95 for two courses 12noon until 6pm. Spoke to a couple who were coming out and they said it was great and as they were locals we decided to call in to make a reservation luckily one free for 4.30pm therefore would advise to book whether you want Early Bird or choosing off the main menu. Greeted by friendly attentive staff. The starters were a good size and the pizzas were cooked well nice crust and amount of toppings. Thin crust and well cooked bottom. Good choice of drinks would definitely recommend. Only gave 4* for atmosphere as it was early, did start to fill up as we left and they had to turn away customers who called in on the off chance as they were fully booked.

Having had a long day of travelling up north from the south, we were pleasantly surprised that they could fit my family of 4 in on a Friday night at 8.30pm. Even better, they had a separate gluten free menu for my son who has coeliac disease with so much choice! They were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Not to mention the prices were so reasonable for what the food was. The food was delicious and authentic Italian with huge portions! Service was excellent too. Would highly recommend to any one and especially some one with coeliac disease. Great find as we were stopping in the Premier inn in Alnwick, and only a 3 minute drive away.

The food was nice. For the main we chose pasta and gnocchi dishes both of which were decent sized portions, had good flavours but also lacked a certain something. No wow factor as such. The service was second to none, with staff being friendly and attentive. The total price was very reasonable. Overall a pleasant experience.

Really good Italian - by an Italian family. Loved my pasta and my family did as well. Super flavors and tender pasta. Just right ! Will be back for more! Yep, we came back for more pasta. Nice and spicy. Not boring, zesty and hot!

Ordered 12inch americano pizza was more 10inch the Chicken topping was tough. The margarita pizza hardly had any cheese basically bread with tomato sauce. Carbonara was ok I’d give the carbonara 3 stars. Pollo cacciatora not spicy no flavour basically bland. The best thing that came out of this whole meal was the salad which isn’t difficult to ruin. To top it off I ordered potato skins and when opened the dips didn’t have lids on and the sauce was all over. Personally the worst Italians I have ever had as a take out. The only reason I’m giving this two stars is because of the carbonara and the lovley salad

Went in for the lunchtime special, and the portion sizes were plentiful and the food was delicious, and the staff were great also, I would really recommend this restaurant.

Located soon after passing through the wall archway in Alnwick town centre, Di Sopra was a great find for our lunch. There is a staircase to climb. It is painted in vibrant colours and has a clean, well kept look. The restaurant offered a lunchtime option at a very reasonable rate. The solitary member of bar/waiting staff was welcoming and very pleasant. The restaurant was very spacious and clearly well run. The food was fresh, tasty and plentiful. I had garlic mushrooms, which left no room for complaint, followed by vegetable linguine, again plentiful and tasty. My partner had a vegetable pizza which was very good too. With two soft drinks added the whole lot came to £20 and a few pennies. In an era of rising costs this represented good value with no compromise on quality or quantity. We'll definitely revisit the next time we're in town. This was followed by a stroll to Barter books. N.B. There is plenty of disc parking nearby too.
