   I always cook a wide variety of international cuisine but when I fancy a change and have a chinese cooked for me I have used The Modern and recommended them to many people. Tonight I ordered a meal costing £27.50 which was so disappointing. It was all totally tasteless and ended up in the bin. I won't order again and will definitely not recommend to anyone.

   Please do not eat here, 23rd December we had food from here and the next day woke up with awful food poisoning, it’s the 28th and I’m still not fully back to normal. Ruined my whole Christmas cause I had no appetite. Even had a trip to the walk in centre because of it. We used to love the food here but now it’s absolutely awful, so we will be looking for somewhere else to order from.

   Top service all round Great food and there always happy when taking the order over the phone they do an excellent very fast delivery service too. My favourite is the fillet steak Cantonese style (always tender) with salt & chilli chips and egg fried rice highly recommended !

   I have used Modern for a few years and have always recommended it but recently they have become obsessed with salt (or MSG). I recently had beef in black bean sauce and literally flushed it with boiling water before eating. I will try them again in a month or two to check on their progress.

   Just got back from holiday so modern Chinese takeaway was nearest and easiest to go to. Not pulling the meal down but it was ok. Have had other Chinese with more taste and flavour.

   Used to be good last year, all gone down hill now, chips are just over fried and bitty, can't cook Steak any more, everything deep fried too death. Sauces are good but most prob cash & carry just add water...... Well done on your new deep fryers, but you maybe lossing all your customers.

   This used to be the best food in derby with Michael but it’s now the WORST!! Save your money don’t order from here SHOCKING FOOD also WORST in derby now they even treat you like Dirt and they don’t want you in there the bloke on the phone and at the desk is the biggest W****** going please shut down bring back michael he was the best cook and knows how to treat his Customers ! Or change the name so people don’t think it’s same company when it really isn’t
